Hello everyone! My name is Francesco, and I am a classical guitar teacher with over 20 years of experience in guitar education. My lessons are personalized and tailored to all levels, from beginners to advanced players, with a special focus on classical guitar technique and performance. I offer a customized approach based on your specific musical needs and goals, whether you want to master the classical repertoire, improve your technique, or explore the beauty of ensemble music. My teaching integrates both traditional methods and modern concepts, with a strong emphasis on musical expression and interpretation. With over 20 years of teaching experience, a Master's in Performance, a Master's in Pedagogy, and a Doctorate in Musicology, I offer structured yet flexible lessons in French, English, Italian, and German. Each lesson is designed to support your unique musical journey, with a focus on refining your technical skills, deepening your understanding of music theory, and enhancing your performance abilities. The lessons include warm-ups, repertoire study, and personalized guidance on technique, interpretation, and musicality. I also encourage collaboration and ensemble music, as I believe group music-making is essential for the development of any musician. Whether you’re preparing for a performance or simply enjoying playing music, my goal is to guide you with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism. I offer a free 45-minute first lesson to get to know each other and discuss your musical goals. Feel free to book a trial session to see if my lessons match your learning style and expectations! See you soon!

I have been immersed in music, and particularly the piano, for over 40 years. I was trained by concert professors, who were themselves trained by the greatest (my own professor's piano teacher was taught by Alfred Cortot). I learned music theory at the Conservatoire and harmony and counterpoint at the HEM in Geneva. At the same time, I have a Bachelor's degree in Musicology from the Université des Lettres de Genève. This allows me not only to teach the essential basics of music to students, but also to place each style and each composer in its historical context. This greatly facilitates learning. I teach all types of music, from classical to modern pop, including film music and more recent composers like Ludovico Einaudi. My goal is to give the student a good harmonic foundation and a good musical ear so that they can be independent in what they want to play and always have the pleasure of sitting down at the piano! My classes are aimed at beginners of all ages (children or adults) with no musical knowledge, as well as advanced students or those who want to prepare for theoretical or practical exams. The scores will always be chosen in agreement with the student, according to their objectives and desired progress, mixing all musical styles (classical, pop, film music, etc.) so that they always have fun playing their instrument. Each student is unique, which is why each lesson is prepared individually to meet their aspirations or objectives. It is very important to me that the course takes place in a kind and sharing atmosphere, with discussion. For children, I can conduct regular interviews with parents in person or by phone (after each lesson if necessary) to report on the progress made and the achievement of desired objectives. I am very flexible regarding the wishes of each student and therefore adapt easily to any situation. The strong points of the lessons: • In all styles (classical, contemporary, modern hits, film music) • All levels, courses in French • Possibility of courses or additional courses in English or Russian if necessary • All ages (for children under 6 years old, lessons of 15-20 minutes maximum with adapted price) • Organization of recitals in the presence of parents and the public in a friendly atmosphere • Kindness • Adaptation to each student, definition of objectives individually • The student can choose certain pieces that he would like to play • Improvisation: learning improvisation techniques so that the student can play pieces on the piano naturally and without sheet music. • For children: regular interviews with parents in person or by telephone (after each lesson if necessary) to report on progress made and achievement of desired objectives • Discount from the 2nd student per family • Listening to each student • Always in kindness and benevolence • Theory and practice are taught in parallel so that the student always enjoys everything they do. Possibility of taking the two separately (either piano or music theory) • Share my passion for music • Patience • Piano 4 hands • Canton of Geneva – free travel

Since 2014, I am teaching students who are living in different parts of the world via Zoom/Skype/Meet – in English, French, Farsi and Turkish languages, and it is working very well. Do you: – have limited access to good teachers where you live? – have a busy schedule or travel frequency? – want to ensure a strong foundation with a highly qualified, experienced and resourceful teacher? – want a more professional help and advice than you can currently receive from private local teachers? All you need to have is an internet connection, a guitar, webcam, headphone/ speaker and a microphone. The exercises and pieces that you need to work on will be sent to you via email or other ways that you might prefer. On the other hand, you can send me a recording of you playing the pieces and exercises before the beginning of our Zoom/Skype/Meet session or play live on Zoom/Skype/Meet. Then we will be able to discuss the ways that you can improve technically and musically, and find the best ways that work for you. I teach Classical, Flamenco and Acoustic Guitars, and I am open to all kind of musical styles. I have a Licentiate Diploma in Teaching Classical Guitar from the University of West London (UWL’s highest teaching qualification). I am a passionate teacher, and enjoy working with a wide age range (currently from 5 to 60) and a variety of levels (from beginner to advanced). I don’t believe in “one size fits all” methods, so my lessons are tailor-made to help students with different backgrounds, goals, and interests improve faster. Importantly, I use graded curriculum with students. This method helps the students to learn the instrument in a systematic way. This way, they can benefit from a faster learning pace and enjoy the sense of progress, and ultimately, become better musicians. Moreover, if you are preparing for international examination board assessments such as London College of Music (LCM) , Trinity College (TCL), ABRSM, etc, an audition, or a recital, I would be able to help you succeed. Other than Guitar lessons, I teach Music Theory, Music Analysis, and Music Composition. Importantly, I use graded curriculum with students. This method helps the students to learn the instrument in a systematic way. This way, they can benefit from a faster learning pace and enjoy the sense of progress, and ultimately, become better musicians. Please feel free to contact me for more details.

Singing lessons, healthy enjoyment! If you are singing, you can let go of everything else and that gives a wonderful feeling of relaxation (Amstelveen)
