Trusted teacher: As a professional classical violinist, I offer violin lessons to both children and adults in the Zwolle area. I have a master's degree from the Rotterdam Conservatory and have more than 10 years of teaching experience. Please feel free to contact me for more information or to make an appointment for a trial lesson. TRIAL LESSON To know whether a student is eligible (physically, musically and mentally) for violin lessons, an appointment will always be made for a trial lesson first. During the trial lesson I will get to know the student, I will carry out a number of tests (motor and musical), I will check the violin for quality, size (if it concerns children) and completeness, and if the previous matters are in order, I will and then give a trial lesson. If you have any questions about the lesson conditions, I will also answer them. A trial lesson is always free! LESSONS PLANNING Although the lesson time is in principle always agreed upon each time, it is preferable that the lesson is held on the same day and time every week. If it concerns a novice student, this is even essential. The reason is that a lot is involved in establishing a good basic violin technique and a good basic technique is essential to continue to progress in the long term. In this phase, a teacher must be able to intervene in a timely manner if things go off the rails. Because a basic learned incorrectly is very difficult to unlearn. The regularity of the lessons is important to provide the student with sufficient time to process what has been learned. Only for the more advanced student, lessons can also be given every other week. CLASS LOCATION The lessons take place at my home in Heino or at the student's home. CLASS DURATION A lesson lasts 60 minutes. READING NOTES Whether or not you can read music is still unimportant in the initial phase. In fact, the first lessons will not cover notes at all. This is because it is very important to learn to make music with the ears and from empathy. Of course, being able to read music from a certain level is indispensable, but if you start doing that right away, the emphasis is too much on the visual and that is not good. After all, the notes emerged from the music, and not the other way around. TEACHING MATERIALS As long as the level is such that notes do not play a role, the student's memory and the notebook will be the only teaching material. When the student is ready for notation, he or she will switch to simple textbook methods in which both reading notes and melodies are literally taught through play. As the level progresses, the material will become increasingly difficult and the books will be adjusted accordingly. We will soon move on to duets in which the student plays together with the teacher. This is not only fun to do, but also forces the student to listen extra carefully / use their ears. Just like the violin, the teaching materials must be purchased yourself, although photocopies may also suffice in the initial phase. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Trusted teacher: With over 8 years of experience as a Solfege, Oriental Solfege, Oud, and Oriental singing teacher, I am a Lebanese musician currently residing in Mönchengladbach, Germany. I honed my skills for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. Prior to my relocation, I taught at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also held private music lessons. As a concertmaster, I performed with the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for over 5 years. My move to Germany was motivated by my pursuit of graduate studies at the University of Kamp-Lintfort. Fluent in English, Couramment en français, ولغتي الأم هي اللغة العربية. Aber leider spreche Ich ein bisschen Deutsch. Solfege, the foundation of music theory, is an essential tool for any musician who wishes to understand and create music. It provides a way to identify and communicate notes, intervals, and rhythms, and it is the key to developing musical literacy. In this class, you will delve into the world of scales, exploring the unique characteristics of Western and Oriental scales. We will study the following scales: Rast, Bayet, Siga, Kord, Hijaz, Ajam, Nahawand- Major & Minor Scales. In addition to these Western and Oriental scales, we will also introduce you to the quarter note, which is not traditionally found in Western music. It is a quarter note with a unique and distinct sound. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced musician, this class will provide you with the knowledge you need to use scales effectively for improvisation, singing, and playing any instrument. With this knowledge, you will be able to: * Read and write music (dictation) in solfège notation for both Western and Oriental scales. * Identify and communicate notes accurately in the context of various musical traditions. * Develop a deeper understanding of music theory and rhythmic concepts. * Infuse your musical performances with a broader range of expressive possibilities. We will use the book "المقامات الشرقية by Georges Farah" as the main reference for our study of Oriental solfège. This book is considered the best book in the Middle East to teach Oriental Solfège. Discover the power of solfège to enhance your musical skills and open up a world of new possibilities!

Hello! My name is Yuriy, and I am glad to welcome you to my page! I am a playing pianist and a private teacher of piano, synthesizer and music theory. I conduct a free trial lesson, where we can get to know each other and determine how compatible we are. Work experience I have been working with children and adults of any level for over five years. Both with those who study for themselves and with those who need help in development or professional preparation for exams / training. My approach The basis is the construction of a holistic musical personality, an individual approach. I help students express themselves and captivate listeners. This includes, in addition to all types of technique, ear training and music theory, also more general psychological skills and abilities related to your personality, such as, for example, artistry and musicality. In this sense, the student and teacher's understanding of themselves and music plays a major role; serious attention is paid to psychological processes in the lesson, since they are the most important part of the student's progress. Elements of psychoanalysis are included in the work (I have more than 7 years of experience in personal analysis). Unfortunately, teachers almost always do not know how to work in this area, which significantly worsens the quality of classes. In lessons, I start from your goals, desires and level, you can choose your repertoire and pace of learning together with me. Lessons are adapted to the age, level and tasks of the student - an individual approach. With students who study professionally, they are distinguished by greater intensity, the presence of exam lessons. With children, a minimum of theoretical discussions and a maximum of play. In my understanding, technique is a good sound and effect on the listener, so in lessons I almost always start from the process of expressing myself through music, from direct playing on the instrument. This means that I do not engage in meaningless memorization of techniques, but their mastery occurs through the creation of music, which makes the process enjoyable and interesting. Education and achievements I started my education at the Stasov Music School in Moscow (piano), and then continued at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music and Pedagogical College (piano). I received a bachelor's degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music (piano). I am a diploma winner of the Moscow Piano Competition of Romantic Music (2018), and also a multiple participant in various concerts with solo and ensemble programs. I have more than 7 years of experience in personal psychoanalytic work, which allows me to delve into the details of each student. Work online I have several professional webcams for viewing hands and posture from different sides (including from above), as well as several microphones so that you can hear and see both your voice and playing with high quality. For lessons, you will need a device with Internet access, a camera and a microphone. Work is usually in Zoom or Jitsi. Thanks to the fact that the student and I see and hear each other well, my experience, as well as physical exercises and associative examples, we achieve good learning results!

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level (Budapest)
Giorgia
I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

David
David is an amazing teacher! He has very well thought out teaching style, focused on improving my technique, and providing clear and practical guidance. I really appreciated his willingness to tailor the lessons to my personal interests and goals. I also asked lots of questions about music theory and music production and he knew it all! I made a lot of progress with him and will definitely contact him for more lessons when I return to Rotterdam. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and friendly piano teacher, I highly recommend David!

Piano and Music Theory lessons with Specialised and Experienced Teacher (Odivelas)
Helena
I came to Helena as a complete beginner with the piano. Though I played other instruments previously, her help on the techniques of the piano was exactly what I was looking for. She has a fantastic grasp of music theory and made those concepts easily understandable to me as well. I highly recommend Helena to anyone who is looking to get a solid foundation with the instrument or music in general.
