My approach The basis is the construction of a holistic musical personality, an individual approach. I help students express themselves and captivate listeners. This includes, in addition to all types of technique, ear training and music theory, also more general psychological skills and abilities related to your personality, such as, for example, artistry and musicality. In this sense, the student and teacher's understanding of themselves and music plays a major role; serious attention is paid to psychological processes in the lesson, since they are the most important part of the student's progress. Elements of psychoanalysis are included in the work (I have more than 7 years of experience in personal analysis). Unfortunately, teachers almost always do not know how to work in this area, which significantly worsens the quality of classes. In lessons, I start from your goals, desires and level, you can choose your repertoire and pace of learning together with me. Lessons are adapted to the age, level and tasks of the student - an individual approach. With students who study professionally, they are distinguished by greater intensity, the presence of exam lessons. With children, a minimum of theoretical discussions and a maximum of play. In my understanding, technique is a good sound and effect on the listener, so in lessons I almost always start from the process of expressing myself through music, from direct playing on the instrument. This means that I do not engage in meaningless memorization of techniques, but their mastery occurs through the creation of music, which makes the process enjoyable and interesting. Education and achievements I started my education at the Stasov Music School in Moscow (piano), and then continued at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music and Pedagogical College (piano). I received a bachelor's degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music (piano). I am a diploma winner of the Moscow Piano Competition of Romantic Music (2018), and also a multiple participant in various concerts with solo and ensemble programs. I have more than 7 years of experience in personal psychoanalytic work, which allows me to delve into the details of each student. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them.

Eda is a fabulous teacher with a real gift for teaching! I'm so thrilled that we happened to find her for our daughter — in the first lesson alone, she was able to demystify a grand piano for a small child and introduced concepts of rhythm and tone through play. Her approach to music feels magical and filled with wonder, and by the end of the 45 minutes I couldn't help but ask whether Eda also teachers adults (she does!), because I want her as my teacher as well!
