Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more. From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano. I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. Important: Please send me a message before booking a lesson if you would like to have a Spanish lesson (I am not a native speaker) I speak Turkish, English and German very well, and I am currently improving my Spanish as well. I already give lessons to my younger students in Spanish, if I feel that the communication is good enough. I just wanted to drop a quick note to say how great she is as a teacher and as a person! She is not just the best teacher, but her personality is equally wonderful. She is incredibly patient and have a super cool way of teaching, and on top of that, she is super friendly. Plus, she is one of the smartest teachers I've ever had.
