I Am a professional musician and I really enjoy teaching. I already quite have a lot of experience in the field with student of every ages.
As a teacher, I firstly work on basics fundamental technique of the instrument but immediately approaching it to the music which can be classical jazz or whatever.

I've always said to my students that learning the basics of the instrument allows you to be able to really enjoy the music, and have the opportunity to become a better person!

Education

Andrea is an Italian trumpet player from Larino, a small village in the South of Italy. He starts to play trumpet at the age of ten in the street band (Banda) of the village and at the age of thirteen he started to study classical trumpet to the conservatory of Campobasso.

In this period he plays a lot of classical music especially as an orchestral trumpet player, but he soon starts to be fashioned by jazz music and improvisation. In September 2013 he graduates with full marks in classical trumpet and was admitted to study jazz trumpet to the prestigious Siena jazz University under the guidance of many great teachers like Giovanni Falzone, Marco Tamburini, Fulvio Sigurtà, Maurizio Gianmarco and others. In these years he fully dedicates himself to jazz and creative music. In the May 2018 he Graduated in Jazz Trumpet from Siena Jazz University under the brilliant guide of Giovanni Falzone.

As a trumpet player, he's active in a lot of projects in different musical genres.
He collaborates permanently with the young Italian movie director Alessio Gonnella with whom he records the soundtracks of 2 short films (La Valle Vuota, Attacco Alieno Dall’interspazio).

In July 2016 he records with the “Bluering Orchestra” led by Tobia Bondesan, a kind collective of free jazz musicians.

In May 2017 he was selected to be part of the National Jazz Orchestra of Italian conservatories with whom he permanently collaborates. He also collaborates with Riserva Moac, a traditional group from Molise, inspired by popular, folk, ska music...

In August 2018 he was selected by the Nuoro Jazz festival, to be part of the group of the best students of the workshop, with this group he’s currently performing around Italy and he recorded an album of originals.

During his short career he played in some important jazz festival in Italy and abroad like: Eddie Lang Jazz Festival, Gamba in Jazz, Jazz in Campo, Pescara Jazz, Umbria Jazz, Siena Jazz, il Jazz Italiano per l’Aquila, Matese Friend Festival (sezione Jazz), Nuoro Jazz, Bologna Jazz Festival, Jazz all’ istitut italiane de culture, Maastricht Jazz.

Reviews (2)

Can highly recommend Andrea. He was highly passionate about helping me improve and even spent extra time outside the lesson to help me fully grasp a topic or provide some extra material. I came in with pretty specific goals, and he listened to them and adapted the lessons to fit my preferences. On top of all that that his skill and love for the trumpet and jazz is obvious and infectious.
Great Approach and Easy to follow the lessons!!! Andrea is a great and professional teacher! Cant wait to have the next lesson!)

Guitar and Bass lessons! With the focus to enjoy the ride of learning.
Hello! My name is Leo and I am a professional musician based up in Glasgow. I have played music all my life hailing from a Jazz family upbringing, and now I am at the stage where I get to play amazing shows and enjoy all the beautiful parts of music. This has inspired me to become a teacher, which I started over a year ago now. I want to share the amazing parts of music with as many people as possible and I find teaching is a great way to do this. Everyone learns in a different ways, so I strive to personalise lessons to your specific needs and goals. I remember myself going through all the lessons and private tutors and sometimes finding it almost making things harder or putting me off, but I keep an open mind and relate to the reality and the core purpose of music, which is to connect with people and the world and allow yourself to be you.
