Sound is a word with a broad meaning. In these classes we will focus on listening sessions and sound composition/improvisation. At first, we will exercise the art of listening (natural and artificial/man made sounds). Later on we will try to make sound compositions and improvisations manually and on computer programs (optional). Listening is a powerful tool for daily awareness. Listening to your surrounding, means being aware of other things and entities that exist around you, which adds on to a deeper understanding of oneself and one’s environment. Through a selection of music, sounds and a series of exercises, I will guide you through a journey of listening to yourself and your surrounding.

Voice lessons are an amazing way to strengthen your voice and broaden your range. Lessons are offered for all types of musical styles including jazz, classical, and pop. In these lessons we will cover vocal technique, song performance, leading a band, sight reading, music theory, and other aspects of performing and singing. Taught in English by a Native English speaker the student with receive English diction lessons along with singing. The basic technique is guaranteed, but the teacher will work with the student on the specific goals and topics the students want to focus on.

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. Singing in all it's discipline's is one of the most powerful forms of self expression. whether you are beginning on your Journey into singing and music, or you are further along the road and would like some extra guidance, support or knowledge, these are all things I can help you with. Each persons sessions will be tailored to the student, going on your ability and what you would like as an outcome of your lessons. some subjects we will go Through are topics such as: warm ups to protect the voice, Voice Technique, Performance - developing your own personal style of singing and as a performer through learning songs of your choice. Additionally to these topics, we can do subjects based around music theory, Learning to read music and Music History. the main thing of course, is to have fun learning and performing! Alternatively, If you are already Studying Music and/or Singing and want help with revision or Practice, I am Happy to accommodate for this also. I have my Grade 8 in Singing, as well as having been trained in Music at degree level in multiple genres of vocal performance and additionally with 25 years of experience in performing arts. I am more than happy to accommodate multiple Genres, and again, all learning is at the students pace. I am available to teach from Friday 21st February 2025.
