I'm Gianni – a professional musician with over 10 years of experience and a master's degree in music education. I play guitar, double bass, and electric bass in a variety of stylistic projects. When teaching, it's important to me that you enjoy the learning process and start making music from day one. You don't need to know lots of notes or chords to have a great time with music! Depending on your interests, we can focus on technique, repertoire, reading music, music theory, improvisation, coordination (like singing and playing at the same time), and much more. Lessons can take place in German, Swiss German, English, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish.

I give lessons or music theory support in Basel and its surroundings. All ages and all levels. I like to share my passion in a relaxed atmosphere! I am an oboe, a professional musician and graduated from the Lausanne University of Music in pedagogy.

Over the years, I have developed a unique and effective method for teaching young children, starting from age 3, all the way to university-level students and adult beginners. My approach focuses on developing a strong ear and making learning both joyful and fulfilling. Outside of teaching, I love spending time outdoors with my dogs, reading, playing tennis, and enjoying time with my daughter.

As a student in the Höchschüle für Musik Basel, I offer in-home music lessons for all ages and levels. My goals in teaching is to most importantly enjoy music and the process of learning, provide students with necessary exercises and repertoire, and also have a focus on improving technique! :)

As a student in the Master Musikpädagogik at the Hoschule für Musik in Basel, I teach harp lessons for all levels and all ages. I build my teaching on the basis of the progressive acquisition of instrumental technique and the development of creativity and musicality. I propose a wide repertoire, ranging from classical music to current music, through jazz, folk song and traditional music (Celtic, South America etc ...). For beginners in music, I integrate theoretical points of reading notes, rhythm, musical knowledge, always related to the instrument and the repertoire worked. The pleasure of playing is, in my opinion, an essential element for successful music learning. That's why I first want to know the motivations and goals of my students to adapt my method to their expectations.

Singer trained at the Schola Cantorum of Basel (from medieval chant to the 20th century), I offer a general singing course: basic vocal technique (posture, breath work, sound work), discovery of different repertoires (depending on the student's tastes; pop repertoires also possible), work on interpretation. I can accompany the student on the keyboard. I work with people of all ages, beginners or not. The goal is to progress in a climate of trust. You can also contact me for music theory lessons only (reading notes and rhythm, deciphering, notions of music theory, ear work). I finally give piano lessons to beginners. I can give the course in French or English, German and Spanish are also possible. Lessons can take place at my home or at the student's home.

As a violinist for 21 years now, 12 years at the conservatory and 9 years as a private teacher, I offer quality lessons adapted to your level. We'll focus on technique (scales, etudes) but we'll also look at a few tricks to improve your playing. It's advisable to do some music theory on the side to be able to read notes and rhythm properly. I can help you with that too. I'm very patient and gentle. I can come to your place, but I can also give lessons by videoconference.

I have 10 years of teaching experience in Switzerland and France. During our lessons you will learn how to play music of different genres, from baroque to contemporary and pop, depending on your wishes. In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different. Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me. I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

Piano pop, variety, jazz, improvisation, ear training, composition, or production on Ableton Live... I immediately start with practical work with my students and my aim is to enable them to develop a form of creative independence during the early lessons. I cater to all needs and my classes are for children, adults, beginners, or experienced learners. The lessons take place at my studio in Aarau. Some lessons can also be done in my recording studio in Lausanne (my upcoming recording studio will be built soon in Aarau) The benefit of giving lessons in a recording studio is the opportunity for my student to leave the lesson with a professional recording of their pieces, allowing for effective self-assessment of their work.
