Ob die Flöte schon lange im Schrank wartet und jetzt wieder mit neuem Elan ausgepackt wird oder ob es um das Neuentdecken dieses Instrumentes geht, wir werden zusammen Ziele finden und die Stücke ganz nach deinem Geschmack auswählen. Es soll Freude machen und aber natürlich sollen dabei auch Fortschritte auf dem Instrument angestrebt werden:)

On several occasions, I had the opportunity to work on the organization and development of group activities with young people. These experiences aroused in me a great interest in education, which led me to make the decision to become a teacher by doing a master's degree in pedagogy at the University of Valencia, thus renewing and reaffirming my passion for this domain. There is extensive experience in teaching children from 6 to 18 years old, and in other words, there is great experience for working with adolescent and children's groups, while maintaining creativity , dynamism and perseverance in my work. Currently I am studying the French language, since I moved to Geneva it is a language necessary that effectively complements my teaching work. I hope my profile will be recent with interest and that will give me the opportunity Show them my passion and affection for the instrument.

With my bachelor's and master's degrees as well as my bachelor's degree in musical education from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and years of experience playing the flute, I am well prepared to pass on my passion for music to anyone who wants to learn to play the flute. Over the last ten years, I have taught students of all ages - from children to teenagers and adults - to play the flute, recorder, alto flute and piccolo. I have developed a flexible and individually adapted teaching concept that responds to the needs of each individual - be it for fun, to prepare for competitions or to prepare specifically for entrance exams. My name is Texenén, I am a flute/piccolo player living in Maastricht with more than 15 years of teaching experience. Geni is a saxophonist and flautist specialising in; jazz, funk, reggae, pop, and soul. As a musician she has played in every conceivable genre from Black Star (formally Carcass) to Michael Franti and Spearhead, Jackie Lomax to Michael League and Co. As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 13 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and WaterBear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Learning to play the flute offers many benefits, regardless of your skill level. This diversity offers many opportunities for collaboration with other musicians and exploration of varied repertoires, ranging from baroque to jazz. Furthermore, playing the flute fosters creativity and personal expression, allowing each flutist to interpret works with their own musical sensibility.
