I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

I specialize in tutoring Modern Studies and Politics for SQA National 5 and Higher exams. The student's needs are most important and the lessons will be centred around anything that they may be struggling with. This can include going over key facts, how to write essays, advice for exams etc. My goal is to keep students challenged, but learn in a fun and engaging environment.

The course module is adapted to the student. The summary will be communicated during the first lesson. I teach you to speak and/or write with an approach to the sciences of political communication, international relations, social and human sciences while convincing the person(s) in front of you with several negotiation techniques. ▪️ Political communication is about the creation and exchange of ideas and opinions between citizens, public officials, political institutions, and related entities, such as the media. It includes discourse throughout the political process in local, state, national, and international political systems, as well as how political information can be exploited for political ends or to achieve political goals. People with a background in political communication may work in policy advice, foreign service, market research, public relations, journalism, and digital media, community organizing, lobbying, political campaigning, or other related fields. ▪️ The techniques used will improve your level of confidence in your public presentations and storytelling. ▪️ BUT! in order to achieve your goal you must master public speaking which is the process or act of giving a speech in front of a live audience. Public speaking is generally understood to be formal, face to face, speaking from a single person to a group of listeners.

I am Laila, a graduate of the Higher School of Teachers. I want to share with you my previous experience in the field of teaching and teaching you the Arabic language and all its sciences. History and Political Science are intertwined subjects with multidisciplinary approaches. To study one of these, one must understand the other. I offer classes that teach either of the two subjects, as well as both (if required) with aspect to the other. How often have we wondered about historical events with respect to Politics? Do we know that the Romanovs were related to the British Royal Family and how their brutal killings was shaped by geopolitics of the era, or how Hitler's death was a highly controversial political debate? You see how history and politics cannot be separated. It is also undeniable that having knowledge of the two subjects can help you achieve higher marks and credits, as well as a deeper understanding and passion for the subjects.

My teaching method goes beyond memorization, because I believe that it is necessary to learn any subject from understanding and thus develop learning, to apply it in an exam or work done during the course. My goal is to get students to have an active attitude both in class and when preparing for a test. I am a person who is passionate about learning and sharing my knowledge, not just for an exam. I also believe that if you are able to foster interest in any subject, the results are achieved organically. My system is to make the content understood in a didactic way and to awaken interest in said content.
