I am a first year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the courses offered. The student will find a framework where they can ask these questions, discuss methodologies and improve. Putting my knowledge at the service of other people is something I like to share. My personalized tutoring lessons are a great help in enabling my students to progress with confidence. I provide them with tailored learning methods. After easily identifying their areas of weakness, I assist them in consolidating their knowledge and achieving all the objectives required by their teachers in public or private schools. I have two educational support locations available for my students: Avenue de Lavaux (since 04.01.21) Rue du Lac (since 01.09.22) In addition to this, I offer pre-entry courses, ECR preparation courses, school coaching, and language courses. My private lessons are suitable for DYS/ADD students as well as highly proficient (HP) students. I also collaborate with other teachers for certain more specialized subjects. All lessons can be conducted either individually or in small groups of 2 to 4 students.

Here are the basics of what I offer in my courses (the content will then be adapted for each student in a personalized manner according to their needs). The French course includes: - Oral skills including conversations - Basics of grammar and spelling - Writing skills - Reading, Text analysis - Vocabulary - Support and assistance with homework Suitable for: students up to secondary school + non-French speaking native speakers wishing to learn French English courses include: - Vocabulary - Conversations - Basics of grammar and spelling - Reading, Text analysis - Support and assistance with homework Suitable for: levels up to high school + adults wishing to learn English as an additional language Mathematics courses include: - Basic arithmetic (fundamental operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, etc.) - Algebra (solving equations and inequalities, of several degrees) - Geometry - Functions and graphs (notion of function, reading and drawing graphs, linear and quadratic equations, interpretation of data from graphs) - Statistics and probabilities: calculation of means, median, mode, standard deviation, simple and combined probabilities, graphical representation of data (histograms, diagrams, etc.) - Logic and mathematical reasoning (learning demonstrations, developing logical reasoning) - Introduction to analysis (limits, basic derivatives, introduction to the notions of continuity and slope - Applied mathematics: Everyday life problems (interest calculation, optimization, unit conversions) Courses can be given up to the second year of high school.

Dear student, I am a chemist graduated from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). I have always been fascinated by science and now I hold a doctorate in solid-state physics from the University of Geneva. Science subjects can help you pass exams. I have been teaching these disciplines for many years during exercise sessions held at the University as well as in private lessons given as an independent. For this reason, you will have the possibility to ask me for explanations on any subject. It is indeed useful that you can progress on the basis of what you already know. You will of course have the choice to ask me for remedial lessons to revise or discover entire chapters. Primary level Math basics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and basic geometry. Fun activities and practical exercises to reinforce understanding. Secondary level Dig deeper into math concepts, like basic algebra, geometry, percentages, and probability. Preparation for written work. High school level Advanced mathematics, including algebra, geometry, statistics, basics of integrals (derivatives and primitives).

I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.

I love teaching and have always enthusiastically helped my classmates. I have been giving private lessons since 2016 (around 25 students, including one for Analysis I, EPFL). I am also an assistant for two courses at EPFL (3rd year Bachelor and Master levels), and I co-created and taught the EPFL Advanced Analysis course during the welcome week for new students (Students4Students EPFL). I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from EPFL, and I am currently a 2nd year student of a Master's degree in Communication Systems at EPFL.
