This class, specifically, is for people who are not native Dutch speakers and wish to sharpen their skills. The level you are on now does not matter, if anything, the less you know the more room there is for improvement! I have been tutoring and teaching Dutch for quite some time and have therefore gained a significant amount of experience. I am very much willing to take the time and make you grow step by step. Or, if by any chance, you need one-time help with for example an assignment then this is fine too!

I offer fun teaching techniques that are less like school-style teaching to facilitate learning. In language classes, I focus heavily on learning through conversation. For me, learning shouldn't be boring, but rather entertaining.

The most important thing for me is that we have fun while learning – that makes everything a lot more fun! In the lessons I am happy to help you with your questions about Dutch grammar and we can work together on your speaking, writing and/or listening skills. Do you have homework that you need help with? That is of course also possible! Let me know what level you are at now and what you would like to learn. I would love to challenge you, but make sure it is always fun and that you don't have too much at once. The prices stated are for a lesson for 1 person.

My name is Paul and I am a Dutch and English teacher. I am originally from Antwerp - Belgium, where I also studied, but I have been living in Spain for a number of years. I have been a teacher for more than 10 years now, and I specialise in Dutch (and English) as a second language. I have worked for various Dutch (language) organisations, such as the Dutch school in Barcelona and the Dutch Language and Culture Foundation on the Costa Blanca. I have experience with almost all levels and ages, although most students are highly educated people who want to work in Belgium or the Netherlands, and want to learn the language in a short period of time. I also have experience with preparing for official exams and integration programmes. In recent years I have specialised in giving lessons online. This is particularly useful for students who don't have a lot of time, but still want to learn the language efficiently. I always offer a tailor-made lesson package – not everyone has the same needs and goals. Whether you already know some Dutch or have to start from zero, I'll make sure you'll start learning and using Dutch from the very first lesson!

Dutch tutoring for secondary school and MBO students at all levels and years. Do you find Dutch a difficult subject or do you just need a little extra explanation? Or are you working on your final exams and need extra guidance? Then I can help you!

In our class we will be relaxed, I will help you with the Dutch conversation, the grammar, reading (like an article or a topic what I will give you). I will help students for beginners-lower-intermediate level. After every lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. Between the two lessons you can always ask me a question about the subject what we’ve discussed. If you have a subject what you’d like to learn about the Dutch language, let me know. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

A qualified language coach with 24 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online. I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam. Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach. In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level). That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1 As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities. I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar. Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 24 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles. I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

Teaching children is almost "an art" Not everyone is able to place him or herself in the mind of a child and that is just so important! I teach playfully and at the same time they learn without really realizing they are in a lesson! I do this with diverse lesson material such as pictures, video's, and we are also practicing songs together. Dutch is my mother tongue, I am Dutch and I suggest you improve your level of Dutch by focusing on conversation - pronunciation - learning to express yourself well - convincing shyness to speak. Of course also academic support - explanation of grammar - reading and understanding texts - writing and editing. Preparing for job interviews, raising the level of Dutch for professional use to a higher level, working with university students to prepare for their Dutch exams etc etc. I adapt my lessons to the needs of each student. With advanced students we discuss the news based on newspaper articles. I speak fluent French, English, and Italian. I am a lawyer by training with 30 years of experience in international business. As non-Dutch speaking parents, it is certainly not easy to teach your children Dutch or help them become more fluent in the new language. Who wants some extra exercise for their kids? I would like to help you with that. As their vocabulary expands and their sentences become more fluent, your children will become more confident. A good command of the Dutch language is certainly to their advantage, both now and in the future. Do your children need some help with their homework, especially with their Dutch, then I can help with that. Even as non-native-speaking adults, it is sometimes difficult to have enough exercise. That is why adults who want to make progress in speaking the Dutch language are welcome here! We can practice the everyday language together. Conversing is the best way to learn a new language.
