Even if you don't have any prior knowledge in these fields, the class will be a fascinating road of discovery -- we will learn "how to read a chair"; what is "design"; what is the meaning behind the way fashion has evolved and what it teaches us about culture and society; and so much more. About your tutor, I am an academic with nearly two decades of experience in the higher education sector and I have taught widely on cultural history. Fashion designers all have to start somewhere -- with the fashion figure called a "croquis." A croquis is a quick sketch of a fashion figure, and the first step of all fashion designs. In this class, we will learn how to make a croquis, starting with a beginner fashion figure tutorial and learning techniques to make them personalized and bring your designs to life.
