Hello Linguophiles 👋✨️ My name is Despoina, I’m of Greek origin, and Greek is my mother tongue. Friends and family call me Debbie, so that’s how you’re going to call me too! 😊 I hold a degree in psychology and am a licensed professional in Greece, currently pursuing my MSc in Health Psychology! I love learning new languages and exploring different cultures and perspectives. I have a B2 certificate in Spanish, and I’m currently learning Korean. About the Classes: Classes are designed for all levels, and together, we’ll cover different aspects of the Greek language, including: 📝The Greek alphabet 📝Grammar rules 📝Vocabulary ⚠️Important Note: Since I’m not a certified Greek language teacher but a native speaker, I will teach you Modern Greek from the perspective of a native. The focus will be on speaking practice (writing can also be taught), and building vocabulary to help you understand everyday conversations and express yourself with ease. If you aim for casual learning of the language I can also assist you. If you already have a good knowledge of Modern Greek and just want to sharpen your skills, I can help you with extra speaking practice and answer any grammar questions to improve the flow of your speech and deepen your understanding.

Teaching interactively and combining fun and knowledge is my style I have already had 3 years of teaching experience with various ages: from teenagers to adults, so you don't need to think that age is an obstacle for you. I have also completed a seminar and a university course on teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign language. The lessons are structured, and we will practice all the language skills during the lessons. I would not like my students to be just listeners but to participate actively and always discover new things, giving us the desired result. Working with various materials in Greek, we will focus on the difficulties and weaknesses. We will also use Greek in the lesson so that you can become familiar with the language more quickly and begin to use it effectively. Last but not least, I prepare students for certifications.

You don't need to have any knowledge of the Greek Language. You need only a PC and good internet connection. You don't have to buy any books or materials. You need only appetite to learn and to be present at the lessons. I will send everything you need about the lessons. My lessons are adjustable to your time to study. If you don't have time to study at home, don't worry. A lot of adults work or have children and is difficult for them to spend time at home studying. I will explain grammar, we will do together exercises, speaking, listening, vocabulary exercises and we will read texts. Also, videos and on line games will be provided to you. I am not strict as a teacher and I am very flexible about the schedule.
