I am a classically trained Lithuanian soprano, as well as a vocal and piano teacher with over seven years of experience. I have graduated with a Master of Music in vocal performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and I previously graduated from the Lithuania Academy of Music and Theatre with a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and pedagogy.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

VOCAL lessons are divided into 2 parts - 1) Warmup Exercise and 2) Singing Exercise. We do both parts in every lessons. Ideally we spend every 2-3 sessions for each song. For kids, a 30-min online lesson / 45-min face-to-face lesson would be long enough for their attention. For adults, it's good to start with a 50-min online lesson! Also, we do music appreciation occasionally during the session. Some other learning materials like music videos are applied based on song choices.

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. I am offering Pop, Jazz, Classical singing classes for all levels and ages - basically whoever wants to initiate, improve, or perfect their vocal technique is welcome. I teach both in person and online. I have students from all over the world: Netherlands, France, Japan, Bulgaria, Latvia and more. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
