Produce Music with FL Studio - Beats, Melodies and Fun!
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
FL studio is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that has been one of the most used software in the professional field as well as for pure hobbyists for years. For me, Daniël, it led to graduating from the Herman Brood Academy as a Pop/HipHop producer in 2015, as well as winning the Grote Prijs van Rotterdam in 2021. In the meantime, I have done (co)productions for artists including Topnotch (Universal), and my most recent tracks have been heard on BBC1Xtra Radio, for example. With my lessons I would like to help you from the basics in your development as a music producer. All lessons are tailor-made and practice-oriented, with the necessary theory being applied on site when this is essential. I know from experience that this is the best way to learn in combination with many repetitions of such actions. It is not only effective, but also very fun!
The following topics are covered:
- Drum programming
- Different rhythms
- Use of Samples
- Basic theory (Volume, clipping, panning, BPM, MIDI notation)
- FL Studio software essentials (Convert your own tune to .MP3 and .WAV, Shortcuts, audio and layout settings)
- Use of Virtual Studio Technology (VST) instruments
- melodies
- Structure of a song (composition)
- Basic mixing and mastering techniques
- Basic sound design
Naturally, the topics are adapted to your level, but more importantly to your wishes. So do you have a specific genre that you would like to specialize in? Then we will do our best together to develop you into such a producer!
Before we start, I think it's important to mention that fun really comes first. Music is a beautiful means through which we can express ourselves as we want and therefore we can also create what we want. Regardless of the guidelines, no mistakes can be made when it comes to creative expression. It is therefore extremely important to me that you feel comfortable!
To ask? Reassure them, and otherwise see you soon!

Play only what you like! - Piano lessons for all levels and all stylesMusic is Play! and everyone is it's own game.
Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:)
I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!
PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create a any kind of path between piano, synths, beats and home studio techniques.
Ask me anything, I'll tell you how I could help!

Violin lessons: Fun-Filled journey! Lessons for children and adults!Hello everyone!
My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire.
I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision.
After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music.
In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music.
Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions.
In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world.
I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

Davide Guido
Music Production, Music Theory, Composition, Cello, Sound EngineeringMy name is Davide and my music experience started when I was 10 years old during my middle school in Italy.
I started playing cello and I kept on studying classical music for 8 years, performing as a soloist and in many orchestras and ensembles.
In the meanwhile, I started being interested in electronic music and composition for soundtracks.
When I turned 17 I realized that music would have been my passion and my job. I graduated in “Contemporary Writing and Production” at Pescara Conservatory in Italy. During these studies, I dove deeper into Pop and Experimental Electronic Music, orchestration, and orchestral composition. I also had the opportunity to play in different bands and discover different genres such as Post Rock, Progressive Metal, and Heavy Metal.
After my bachelor's degree, I finished my studies following a Master's program at Codarts (Rotterdam) in Creative Production. During those two years, I had the opportunity to collaborate with many people and explore different kinds of music (Turkish, Flamenco, Jazz, etc.). I wrote an Artistic Research about electronic unquantized music by analyzing the sound of producers such as Flume, Burial, and Arca.
Now that my studies are finished I feel that I want to spread my knowledge and my passion to many people as possible.
My class subjects are:
- Music Production (from beginners to expert level, mainly Ableton Live and Pro Tools classes)
- Cello Lessons (from beginners to intermediate level)
- Music Theory (from beginners to expert level)
- Composition and Orchestration (explore the world and joy of composing for an orchestra and how to use your DAW as a real symphonic orchestra).
As a Producer, I want to let the student feel completely free to ask me whatever he/she wants. I have had many experiences as a producer and I know how to handle many different genres.
My first teaching experience was at 17 years old and from that moment on I did not change my teaching set-up.
I want the lesson to be an interactive moment in which the teacher and the student are sharing ideas and opinions.
Feel free to apply for the lessons.
I look forward to meeting you!
Pietro

Guitar , Music , Composition , Theory & Production/SoftwareMore than 25 years of experience as a professional musician and more than 20 as a teacher and pedagogue have taught me that, alongside a technical and knowledgeable musical upbringing, my teaching can instil in the student a wide sense of musical appreciation. It is my firm belief that music connects to many other areas of learning and may even catalyse the overall pedagogical development of children.
Furthermore, my training as a classical composer/arranger and a performer of classical, jazz and world music allows me to create diverse pedagogical scenarios, which fit not just the aspirations of individual students, but also helps me to work with students collectively in ensembles and other kinds of interactive projects. For the past 5 years I have also included many technological advancements (such as DAW software), which allow students to record and produce their own material or practice sessions. Using these techniques, I am able to reach out to each student, introduce new concepts and make sure they enjoy and improve their learning processes.
