In the percussion field there are more instruments than you can count, it's a perfect opportunity to try out different things in the musical field and see what you like as a beginner, intermediate or advanced student. I am teaching music theory to all my students in order to deepen their musical knowledge on any instrument. I've been playing, studying, teaching and performing for over 15 years now, so I can use my experience to find good qualities in the you and develop them as much as possible. If you want to study with me I can provide a stable program for development including scores, exercises etc. In this class, we will be focusing on instruments sutch as Marimba, Vibraphone, Drum set, Latin percussion, African percussion, Djembe, Orchestral Percussion, Timpani and more. Music is a really beautiful art to learn. As a musician, I want my students to have a good experience and minimmum knowledge to develop new skills and learn new instruments. I am currently studying for music teacher at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and with experience in piano and bassoon teaching. I'm looking forward to develop new music classes where both me and the students can have a lot of fun with piano. I like to teach through a lot of games and music creation, and I'm always looking for new and creative ways of teaching. If you are just starting with the piano, we will focuse on playing without reading scores, which I will introduce later on. I like to work on pieces and songs that my students chose, so everyone feels confortable!

Music theory is very important for anyone looking to learn an instrument! It helps broaden an understanding of the instrument and will also help you progress faster! If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. I am also a professional freelance musician and conductor, for anyone interested in conducting, we can discuss how to approach a score in relation to this.

This class is designed for GCSE and A-Level music students eager to develop their composition skills in line with exam requirements. With a focus on originality and creativity, we will explore compositional techniques, musical structures, and stylistic understanding across a variety of genres. If you want to develop your skills as a composer, this is the class for you! In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me! - To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing. - Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music.
