Trusted teacher: What I offer: A Level: Biology GCSE: Maths, English, Science KS3: Maths, English, Science 11+: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning KS2: Maths, English, Science KS1: Maths, English, Science I am a qualified teacher (DBS checked) and have over 4000 hours of tutoring experience, with students ranging from 4-18 years old. On top of that, I also helped my brother gain entry into Cambridge University for Economics and have seen countless other students succeed under my mentorship. This is because I recognise that there is a process and that if students follow that process, they are guaranteed to succeed. I try my best to make learning enjoyable for students but I also have high expectations as I believe every student has it in them to achieve the top grades. I provide homework for each and every lesson. If students struggle with it, they come to me the following lesson and we go through the mistakes. I teach them the techniques to combat their weaknesses and this ensures they are ironed out, guaranteeing improvement. Students can also bring me work they are struggling with independently. All the students that have come to me have improved and rapidly. Testimonials: 'He helped my daughter get into Forest School. The homework and regular advice really made all the difference. We cannot thank him enough.' - Mr. Atwal 'Starting with him was the best decision I made for my son's education. He did so much better in his GCSEs than we expected. He was on track for Ds and Es and managed to get nearly all A*-B! Imagine what Umar could've achieved if we'd found him earlier!' - Mrs. Ahmed 'Vinay helped me so much with A Level Biology. I got an A (very nearly an A*) and am now studying Dentistry at university.' - Raman

A Quran teacher's teaching style often includes interactive methods like discussions, demonstrative teaching for proper Tajweed recitation, and personalized instruction tailored to each student's needs. Repetitive practice for memorization and the use of multimedia resources help enhance learning. Positive reinforcement and feedback ensure students stay motivated and confident in their progress. A Quran teacher's methodology refers to the structured approach and techniques used to teach the Quran effectively. Here’s a concise breakdown of common methodologies: 1-Tajweed Instruction: Focus on teaching the proper rules of Quranic pronunciation and recitation, with detailed attention to articulation points and phonetic rules. 2-Memorization Techniques (Hifz): Utilize repetitive recitation, verse-by-verse memorization, and regular revision to help students memorize the Quran, while building strong retention skills. 3-Tafsir (Interpretation): Teach the meanings and context of the verses, connecting them to practical life applications, moral lessons, and historical significance to deepen understanding. 4-Active Learning: Encourage students to participate in discussions, ask questions, and engage with the material through reflection, promoting critical thinking and personal connection to Quranic teachings. 5-Use of Multimedia Tools: Integrate audio, video, and digital resources to aid in listening, visualization, and interactive learning, making the material more accessible and engaging for different learning styles. English lessons with a CELTA-qualified native English speaking teacher (Amsterdam)
Tom
Even though I'm married to a US citizen and have been speaking English at home and work for years, I felt I was no longer improving until I started regular lessons with Tom. The lessons are incredibly helpful. I am very much interested in improving my grasp of idiom and usage. Tom is very good at finding my mistakes and helping me to improve my English. He's also very reliable, and he's flexible regarding the timings of the meetings. It's a fun experience, and I highly recommend Tom!
