Trusted teacher: In Italy I taught in 4 different schools of music, there I had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience with students of all ages and all levels. I have had many children pupils, who approached the trombone or another brass instrument for the first time, as many amateurs of all ages who needed a guide for their path, but also adults with a great knowledge of music, who wanted to perfect themselves and find inspiration to cultivate their passion. If you are approaching the Trombone for the first time, there are NO requirement, book your lesson and you will try the instrument at my place, then if you want to progress you will need to buy your own instrument. If you are an amateur or you already study in another school but you want to perfect yourself or you need any help for any issues, just come by and we will see together your level and what you need to improve. Many masterclasses all around Italy and abroad taught me that every student is different, and a teacher can change your life just by saying the right sentence, we will work together. I have several methods to study any technical issue of the trombone, and a lot of inspiring exercises, we will find together the books that fit you better. To have a proper education, I take care about ear training, singing, and of course breathing and body posture as well, I want you to feel good with your instrument and to approach to the music in a relax and funny way.

Trusted teacher: Hello all! My name is Yiannis , I'm a third generation trombone player and I've been playing the trombone since 9 years of age. In 2017 I got my Trombone Diploma in Greece and since 2018 I have been studying Classical trombone at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I've had teaching experience from Greece and here alongside my bachelor's degree i acquired followed the minor in education. Teaching is really a very beautiful and enjoyable process from which both teacher and student learn a lot! I'm very passionate about music, and I'm able to teach you both classical trombone or pop if that's your cup of tea! I'm here to remind everyone that age is just a number and does not mean anything. Did you always wanted to learn how to play the trombone, be a part of your town's windband or just play with your family and friends? Now you can do that with my help! Every lesson is being tailored in each student's needs, while I'll guide you to the most productive practice sessions you can have! Don't know how to read notes? No problem! Whether you are a beginner or looking to take your practice to a higher level, I can tailor my teaching to give a personalised experience for all age groups, with a dedication to helping you succeed. I have been playing trombone since the age of 9, and have studied and performed in a range of styles, from classical and jazz, to reggae, soul, funk, ska, pop and rock. I started playing with professional orchestras while still a teenager, and have studied with Amos Miller, Paul Nieman and Adrian France, each of whom have taught me essential practices and techniques in a variety of styles. I have performed and recorded with a number of successful groups, ensembles and projects, which include: Hotsteppas & Dub Princess, Timbali, Eastone Rockers, Lil Maxine, Fat Mark, Waggle Dance Records/The Co-operators, Wheel Up Records/Calculus, Gwari Music, Zoe Mazah, Rob Symmeonn, Urban Lions, Frankie and the Heartstrings, Euphony Collective, Toothless Mary, Sussex Jazz Orchestra, and Martha Hill. Having studied Trombone, Piano and Music Theory I have intimate knowledge of the ABRSM Grades, and can offer tuition to help students achieve the grades they need. I also offer Music Technology, Studio Techniques and Composition tuition which is informed by my work as a professional recording engineer, and through my research into experimental and extended studio practice. I have also gained writing and arranging credits for many of the groups listed above, composing for brass and whole ensembles. With this experience I can offer expert assistance and guidance with students’ compositions, as well as the equipment and set up to help with this process, both at home and at the studio I work in.
