Drum and percussion classes with different methodologies depending on the student's objectives. From classes for those who start in the world of the drums to special classes of reinforcement for students who study music to a medium degree. I offer classes at home where I will prepare the student to overcome his challenges and help him to achieve his dream of being a great musician. The students who decide to start playing will teach them from the most elementary (basic technique, musical reading, theory) to more advanced material such as musicality, learning different styles (jazz, rock, Samba, Funk, etc), improvisation, and much more. Lessons offered in English and Spanish Academic training: - Asociate Degree Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Music production - Bachelor's Degree of Jazz at CSMIB (Spain) - Superior Degree at Professional Conservatory of Music of Gijón - Private lessons and masterclasses with world-class drummers as Jeff Prentice, Marc Miralta, Yoran Vroom, Jack Dejohnette, Jairo Ubiaño, Dani Dominguez, and many more

Electronic Music Production – Ableton Live, Synthesis, Sound Design, Composition, Mixing, Mastering, and Live Performance
Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. For me, making music is about building the skills and mindset to bring creative ideas to life and I’m passionate about helping others do the same. As Malvae, I have written, sung, produced, mixed, and performed my own music, reaching #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathering millions of streams, and featuring in films like the upcoming documentary King of the Streets and a Netflix series. One of the highlights of my artistic journey was the Amazonas Project, where I traveled deep into the Amazon rainforest to record and transform natural sounds into a full-length concept album, blending storytelling, sound design, and music into a single experience. I had the honour of headlining my own show at Melkweg Amsterdam, one of the Netherlands' most iconic venues, and curated my own events while performing immersive, self-built live sets with visuals. I’ve also taught technical music skills at professional facilities such as Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum. Music has taken me to places I never imagined, from the Amazon rainforest to some of the most iconic stages and I'm excited to help you build your own creative path. In my lessons, I offer structured, personalised education in music production, composition, sound design, mixing, mastering, and live performance. Areas we can explore together include: - Developing advanced music production workflows and creative problem-solving techniques - Composition, arrangement, and innovative sound design - Professional recording techniques, mixing, and mastering fundamentals - Synthesis and sampling techniques, from basics to complex sound design - Live performance design using Ableton Live, with optional visual integration via Resolume - Applying music theory practically within electronic, experimental, and contemporary music contexts Lessons are tailored to your individual goals and are available both online and in-person at my studio in Amsterdam. For online students, I use specialised tools that allow us to collaborate in real-time with HD audio quality. My own musical path often started by recording sounds from my travels around the world and blending them with synthesizers and my voice. I found my unique sound this way, and I’m excited to help you find yours. (And don’t worry, we won’t have to go to the ends of the earth to find it. I’ll show you how to transform the sounds you already have into something extraordinary.) Whether you are just beginning your musical journey or looking to refine and deepen your craft, I look forward to working with you and helping you grow through structured, creative, and personalised electronic music education.
