Hi Music Lovers! I teach piano, musical composition writing, ear training, musical improvisation. I am Asli, a Classical composition student at Royal Danish Academy of Music studying my Bachelors degree at the moment. I have finished my High school in the Purcell School in London, UK with joint first study composition and piano. I had my pieces premiered internationally such as in London, Birmingham, Rotterdam, Istanbul, Manchester and Copenhagen. I also studied piano as my first study from the ages 7 to 18 and participated in international festivals, Masterclasses and concerts in London, Birmingham, Amalfi, Ankara, Istanbul, Manchester and Glasgow. I have also participated in various workshops for music teaching to young kids and those with disabilities. I also have experience teaching for people in all ages and with disabilities. The lessons would be in either English or in Turkish.

With my classes, not only will you learn to play with ease, you will also be able to crack the code of music, so you will understand how notes, chords, rhythm and music theory relate to each other. You will no longer be simply playing through mindless memorization or repetition. You will also learn how to listen to yourself and recognize when you have played well, and when you have made mistakes. Although I am classically trained, I started guitar playing rhythmic music, such as nirvana and the beatles, and I still have a deep understanding of the style and have taught it for years. I aim to teach guitar the right way, without taking short cuts that limit knowledge and development later on. I have a personalised approach to each student, refusing to force them to play exactly as I do, but helping them to refine their own innate technique. To that end, I create my own exercises for my students, compiling the best from the existing literature, and am working to creating my own guitar method book. I offer accordion lessons for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level players who want to play the instrument and simply enjoy the music. I have been playing the instrument since 2007 and therefore I can offer various comments and tips for different levels of playing and give you various repertoire. My lessons are organised in a step-by-step development, but the final goal is to put everything together. I always want to give my best to my students and to share the knowledge that I have to hopefully inspire someone to continue developing as a musician. I would give a piano lesson that would help improve the student's aural training, piano technique and musicality. Different levels of each student will be taken into account and catered to the student's musical interests and goals that they set when they start the piano lessons. I'm a Suzuki trained piano player who learnt Kodaly from the age of 5 years old. Some singing may be used in lessons to help with the student's ear training.

Music theory is very important for anyone looking to learn an instrument! It helps broaden an understanding of the instrument and will also help you progress faster! If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. I am also a professional freelance musician and conductor, for anyone interested in conducting, we can discuss how to approach a score in relation to this.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
