Guitar lessons + Alternative playing styles and Genres
I am a guitar teacher from Edinburgh, Scotland with a strong focus on developing practical musicianship and enjoyment of playing the guitar. I can help you from the beginner level into finding your own style and relationship to music.
The lessons heavily revolve around the musical areas that you are interested in, we will do things like look at your favourite guitarists and songs, breaking them down into their fundamental parts, and developing the class on how to understand what you are playing.
I have many years experience playing in live bands and can help you in many ways with developing your playing for groups and performances. I can also help with the recording aspect of playing music, both solo and with groups.
Here are some of the genres that I love to teach:
Alternative and Classic Rock
Acoustic instrumental, Singer-songwriter, open-tunings
Metal and Experimental Genres
Classical and Spanish Classical
Ambient and Psychedelic with effects pedals
Playing with Fretless/ 7 & 8 string guitar
I like our lessons to be structured and goal orientated, we often have an online lesson diary together where I keep notes of everything we are doing in the lessons, where you can add your own notes and things you would like to work on.
I find this is very useful to keep you progressing with the guitar at a good pace.
I have a strong background in music theory, and if the student wishes, this can be an integral part of the lessons. I personally like to teach theory through the songs you have chosen to learn, analysing what we are playing and through this developing your own intuitive theory understanding, within relation to your chosen genres of music. Although I am perfectly aware that many students do not feel connected with learning music theory, in which case we can focus more purely on the playing and performance aspects.
I have been teaching the guitar for several years and it is a true passion in my life. Little makes me happier than to see my students progressing towards their musical goals and developing their own artistry.

Bleys is my first guitar teacher, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. He’s patient, professional, and well-prepared for the lesson. I feel comfortable and encouraged while learning from him. I have no regrets and look forward to continuing my lessons with him in the future.
A sympathic guitar-teacher with an eye for quality. I am very curious for the rest of the lessons.
Bleys is a talented and patient musician. His approach of teaching encourages me to continue practising and to fall in love with music even more. I totally recommend Bleys to people who wish to have a fun and good start on learning how to play the guitar.
All I have to say is that Bleys is an amazing teacher! He focuses on the specific type of music you like from the beginning. He is really nice and he has also helped me to find a good guitar to get!
Patient, understanding, and kindhearted: Bley is a teacher whose musical passion speaks for itself. He custom-tailors lessons according to your individual needs by laying out various areas of practice (e.g. improvisation, lead playing, musical theory, etc.) to explore. As such, you can easily focus on what best suits your goals/motivations as an aspiring guitarist. Songs can be chosen according to your liking, keeping you engaged in playing and making lessons a fun experience all around.
If you are searching for affordable guitar lessons in Groningen, there's likely no better tutor than this guy. Competent, flexible and courteous, but also ever-cheerful and receptive - absolute recommendation!

Piano Lessons (Classical Music and Non classical), Music Theory, Harmony, Musical Arrangement, CompositionAt my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. Openness, joy, dedication, creativity and passion for music are some of the things that you will find in the international environment of my studio. I care about who my students are and what they have to say to the world, and I will help them to develop it from the very first lesson.
In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
Hope you can join and if so, I’ll be very happy to teach you!

Discover the guitar differently and intuitivelyThis course is above all there to make you want to play the guitar, let it be a pleasure! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and role of the guitar. The theory will be based on the progress of the practice. Step by step, practice and theory will thus be complementary, and will necessarily be useful!
Have you always dreamed of being able to play the guitar? it's time to get started!
Let the magic of music take hold of you and become the accomplished guitarist you always wanted to be!
Possibility of offering this course to one of your loved ones, a very appreciated gift for people who would like to embark on a musical adventure!

Improvisation for beginners and intermediates (any instrument)For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease.
If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session.
Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

PLACES :
- Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards). In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). At your request, I therefore continue to offer them.

Electronic Music Production | Composition | Sound Design ( Ableton Live )Vlad is an electronic music producer and composer with more than a decade experience in producing sound design and bespoke productions and compositon for movie, theatre, games and live events. He worked with companies such as Yamaha, Dior & Ellie Saab.
As flash education is the new trend on the web, I try to identify myself as someone that does not take pride in giving "tips&tricks" classes rather to build toghether a path towards nolt only the understanding of the musical concepts, but towards their discovery.
Through the use of Ableton Live I will cover music theory and it's appplication to the digital and analog world, exploring electronic and acoustic music, providing by time to time free tools and subsequent explanaition on how to use them, to build not only an in depth knowledge, but an efficient workflow.
Having thaught in universities, it is clear to me that the path to learn cannot be a series of discontinued classes. For that reason I spur you to send me a message and organise up to 60 minutes of consultation, so to craft the ideal path to you. Whether is understanding of music theory ( Which I will refer to during classes as black magic ), or understanding all the steps and knowledge that are needed to start and finish a track.
The classes will be on zoom and at the end of it I will provide you the recording of each class so that you can keep track of whatever we did at all times. Including after we will be finished :)
