Classical Guitar Lessons, Music Theory and Harmony

Hi, i'm Sasha and I've been actively teaching music for the last 10 years. I'm very passionate about music and guitar in particular and it brings me a lot of joy to be able to share this passion. I enjoy being able to explain a musical topic well, working on it together with a student and seeing them grow into musician they aspire to be. I don't think everybody who is a good musician can be a good teacher and I had some bad teachers in my life so I put a lot of effort in being on the top of my game. It is important for me to have a comfortable and friendly atmosphere during lessons, set individual goals based on musical tastes and have a structured, personalised approach. This class is meant for students of different age groups and playing levels. From absolute beginners to more advanced players. The approach is individual and we will discuss the desired goals in advance and build the learning process around those. Some topics that are usually covered are rhythm guitar, being able to accompany yourself while singing (in different styles and techniques), lead guitar, improvisation (from basics to advanced), general knowledge of the fretboard and technique. There will very likely be some degree of music theory during guitar lessons as I am a firm believer that you have to understand the thing you're learning to fully master it, but no worries - it will only be as much as is necessary to have the control and understanding of the instrument in a chosen style (and if you are into music theory I will be more than happy to nerd out together!).

In this class You would be able to get a new or refresh Your already existing knowledge about the guitar playing and music in general. My main goal is focus on Your (as a student) musical development - make Your long and short term goals and based on that reach the target. Develop Your harmonical, melodical and rhythmical senses, as well introduce You with beauty of improvisation in jazz, blues and pop music.

Individual lessons based on the needs of each student, using a mix of classic and innovative teaching methods. Lessons are one hour, 45 minutes or 30 minutes each, but can be adapted as required. Hello I am Dimitris . I am a classical guitarist from Greece doing my second Bachelors in classical guitar performance in Conservatorium Maastricht under Carlo Marchione's class I finished my first bachelor's in Music in Apolonion Conservatory in Athens, Greece. I have 6 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages . My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations, while passing on my knowledge to help the student to develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music. Hi, my name is Virág :) I’m an artist from Hungary, and I spent 10 years studying classical guitar starting at the age of 9. I pursued my education at the conservatory in Budapest. I currently work as an Illustrator in the animation field, but I never stopped loving music and the guitar! If you're interested in playing classical guitar and want to feel more connected to the universe, I can teach you the basics. If you already have some guitar experience - we can see your level, then we can go from there :) I can show you how to read the notes and sheet music, but if you prefer to learn visually by copying my hand movements, that's perfectly okay too.
