I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style. For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. My name is Virág, and I am a Visual Development Artist and Character Designer. I have honed my skills as a 2D illustrator and visual developer, working as both a character and background designer in the Netherlands. There, I contributed to a variety of projects, including music videos, informative animations, promotional videos, and posters. Notably, I worked on animated music videos for Spinning Records and Steve Aoki's '6OKI' animated music video series. While my primary focus is on the cartoon style, I have experience in a diverse range of styles, including corporate, whiteboard animation, realistic, and children's illustration. My journey in drawing began in my childhood, with experiences at places like 'Corvin Drawing & Design School' and 'Secondary School of Visual Arts, Budapest'. In 2019, I completed the Concept Art course at 'Mesharray, Budapest', which set me on the path to my current career. Hi! I'm Naomi, a visual artist, curator, and art educator (courses and workshops) with a focus on painting and drawing. In today's times, this gives many self-taught artists the opportunity to set up an art practice through the internet and entrepreneurial skills, with an online shop selling (limited-edition or open-edition) prints of their paintings or drawings, and amazingly, many artists are able to earn a decent income this way, with some going viral on platforms like Instagram and suddenly becoming world-famous. This is not something that happens quickly or often, but it does represent a significant shift in the Contemporary Art World, which previously was much harder to establish your own business and art practice, making the artist much more dependent on representation by a Gallery. My lessons focus on (re)discovering the joy of making art. I believe that every individual has a unique creative process, and that in art, there is no right or wrong. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.
