Hello! My name is Lucía. I studied clarinet and bass clarinet in Madrid (Higher Grade) and Zurich (2 masters) and for more than 10 years I have played with international professional groups and I give private classes and in schools where I pass. Now I am based in Spain, but the last few years I have been living in Switzerland and Japan. In the following link you can listen to some of what I have played: I offer classes to beginners, amateurs or students who want to learn or improve their way of playing so they can feel freer performing and thus enjoy more of the style of music they choose, whatever it is. Musical arrangements and exercises tailored to each student are provided, and knowledge of theory, rhythm, or history is also taught. Help is also offered in preparing for entrance exams, relaxation techniques, planning and concentration. Online classes via Skype or Meet. If you don't have a good connection and you don't even think about face-to-face classes right now there is also the option of "delayed class": you can send me videos with what you have prepared for the class and I will respond with other videos on how to work each aspect. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

This class fits students of different age groups and playing levels. From absolute beginners about to make their first (musical) steps to more advanced players with more precise goals. The approach is individual and we will discuss the desired goals in advance and build the learning process around those. Some topics that are usually covered are - rhythm guitar, being able to accompany yourself while singing (in different styles and techniques), lead guitar, improvisation (from basics to advanced), general knowledge of the fretboard and technique.

I hold a BMus(hons) in Bass Guitar and have served in HM Royal Marines Band Service for 8 years specialising in Bass Guitar, Tuba and Double Bass. As a dedicated and experienced tutor, I have been providing private lessons for the past decade. My teaching approach is tailored to your individual needs and wants. Hello and welcome to my music studio! It is absolutely fabulous that you are interested in music, and I hope you have lots and lots of fun with it! However, diving into the wonders of the piano/keyboard can be a bit overwhelming... and that is where I come in! This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano. In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music. In a nutshell, I am a professional pianist, vocalist, lyricist and blogger. Since 2014, I have taught in various music schools, teaching piano, ensemble, jazz vocal, and solfege. On a more elaborate note, I obtained my Master of Arts in classical piano, summa cum laude, at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (KASK) in 2017, and studied as a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington USA during the 2019-2020 academic year. Every day, I strive to become a better musician and person, and I aim to transfer that passion to my students.
