If you enjoy bright colors and want to learn to paint abstractly with liquid watercolor paint, this workshop is for you. At the beginning of the painting session we will become familiar with the wet-on-wet technique. We will learn to let the chance of the colors running into each other guide us. In this workshop you will learn to find the balance between chance and gentle brush control. After a short drying time, the fine lines are then applied with fine brushes. Watercolor painting as a meditation technique: Simply starting and working with your hands is a self-healing process, something I rediscovered especially during the Corona crisis. Watercolor painting is relaxing and has a meditative effect, it slows you down and when you wake up from the trance you have created a finished watercolor. To do this, we stay at the location, we explore it, what do we notice? Who uses it and how? Are there strange objects or situations that irritate me here? How can I capture or portray this place artistically? The medium can be freely chosen; it can be a photograph or series, a painting, a drawing, a map, a film or something else. It can be a sketch for a larger project or a test system. Examples of artworks are shown as input, and there are collegial sessions where the participants discuss their designs and get feedback. I support the participants throughout the entire process. The course is structured in such a way that we alternate between exploring the site and working time in the studio.

The portfolio course for entry into the art college. I am an art educator and a professional, freelance artist. I worked at an art college for 6 years and I know what it takes to study at an art college. A good portfolio is essential for your successful application to study at an art college. The focus is on creating a solid application portfolio with your artistic work. I offer you portfolio discussions, give you technical tips, we can tackle specific problems and I am also available for material questions. Overall, I will support you in putting together your portfolio, I will advise and give you valuable tips to further develop yourself artistically. Artistically, my focus is on: Free art: painting, new media, video art, art in public space and participatory art.
