This course is above all there to make you want to play bass, let it be fun! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and the role of the bass. The theory will be based on the progress of the practice. Step by step, practice and theory will thus be complementary, and will necessarily be useful! For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

Getting going with music making can be an overwhelming thing, but it doesn't need to be! Whether you're a complete beginner looking to start making your first few tracks, a music producer trying to expand your theory and composition abilities, or a composer attempting to dive into the world of audio production, these classes will be tailor made to support your needs and develop your abilities. Since 2015 I have been a private guitar tutor, teaching face to face and online. I cover a broad range of genres and have helped players build a strong foundation for anything from pop to metal. Most of my students pursue guitar as a hobby or a creative outlet, writing songs or performing in bands. I have also helped players prepare for Trinity Rock & Pop or GCSE exams. I provide written notes and video material and can help you organize your practice time. I set aside 30 minutes of prep time per lesson, which can also be used to transcribe and film tutorials for songs of your choice. I encourage all my students to apply the skills they learn in their own personal way. If you are beginner, you will get enjoy what you learn very soon. Your lessons will be simple and practical, with a healthy mix of technique, knowledge and repertoire, along with the basic music theory you need to get by. Intermediate and advanced players will have the chance not only to make progress, but also to fix past mistakes and gain confidence in their playing.

The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I study jazz violin at the Bruckner University and offer lessons for beginners as well as for improvisation enthusiasts. I studied composition before and therefore also offer composition and music theory lessons.
