My passion is to help aspiring writers find their voice, discover and perfect their craft, so that they can experience the joy of expression tailored to their needs and ambitions.

In short, put an end to the fear of writing! Isn't it difficult to be consumed by the desire to write your project and not succeed in doing it? Break forever the insurmountable wall that prevents you from writing today. It is a matter of combining improvements in form with improvements in substance. For this, the sessions can for example take place according to your needs as follows: a) Comments / proposals on the text that you will offer me b) Writing exercises based on a statement. c) A series of precise and pragmatic recommendations and their application through style exercises. Whether it is a novel, an essay, song lyrics, various texts, a biography or simply a report for professional or school purposes, it is about offering you elements personalized pedagogy: - Study your text - Build text, song lyrics etc - Calmly polish the style - Research and develop your lexical fields - Differentiate between writing for oneself and writing for others All this by combining theory and practice: Writing work from exercises then as part of a personal project. During the sessions, you are guided in your writing project. The trainer accompanies you and teaches you the preparation method, gives you writing tools and helps you work on your style and your imagination. The objective is multiple, including a reflection on one's own literary path, an introduction to the basic tools of style work and exercises on description. Learning objectives: - Identify your writing path. - Mobilize your imagination. - Learn and master the practical writing tools. - Broaden its reflection on creation and professional and personal writing. - Create and develop one or more projects. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions, for which you have asked me, also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). Indeed, they have the advantage of face-to-face sessions (ex: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (ex: the entire session transcribed in writing on the chat). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. À la carte: evaluated and adapted to each personality.

Anna
English IGCSE/GCSE/ Verbal Reasoning/ Poetry/ Creative Writing
I can aid students from preschool to IGCSE/GCSE level in English, Verbal Reasoning, and essay writing. Having achieved an A* in both English Language and English literature, I am passionate about teaching children how to love the subject and excel in their examinations. I have tutored English in the past to both preschool and IGCSE pupils, offering a dynamic and interactive teaching style that helps nurture a child's love for English and creative writing. I have access to the poetry pamphlet taught in most schools for IGCSE, but can access whatever syllabus is needed for a specific exam. I also have created several worksheets for students who are learning English as their second language. Having studied French, German, and Latin at school, I am aware of the etymology of many words which will allow students to connect meanings across their language to understand the literature fully. In my free time, I write poetry and novels and can share many teachings I learnt on a creative writing course I undertook in 2016.

Poetry Writing for Beginners and Intermediate Writers
Would you like to learn how to write poetry or develop your poetic craft with the assistance of an experienced teacher? In this class, we'll work on shaping new drafts whilst learning about international poetic forms as well as producing some free verse work. We'll edit our material and, if we have multiple sessions, we'll put together a brief collection! We will explore the world of the senses, memories, and connect to language in a new, profound way. My course is not prescriptive, and we'll meet your voice wherever you're at right now. You'll be taught by a published poet with work experience in the UK and North America. I've taught Creative Writing to university students at a world-leading school, and worked with younger audiences, and I'm happy to work with a variety of forms in English. I studied for my MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia, and won a scholarship as the strongest poet in my cohort.

Creative/Drama Writing Tuition (available to students of any experience level)
Is there an idea you can't quite get off the ground, or are you curious about how to foster an underlying voice? I'm proud to offer tuition in the realm of creative writing, be it for the page, stage or screen, to people at all stages of their artistic journey. My personal tuition philosophy means that every session is curated for your individual needs and interests, and I will consistently request feedback to ensure no time is wasted on material you don't find enriching. After graduating from the University of Warwick with a first class degree in English and Theatre, and securing one of eight places for writers at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School this year, I want to extend my passion into helping others discover their linguistic flair; tackling the whole spectrum from crafting character, to constructing dialogue and beyond. I've written a dozen plays in the last year alone, so consider myself well acquainted with the pitfalls and complex methodologies of this often tricky art. I hope to use these classes to help you develop more reliable writing practices and overcome the dreaded writer's block once and for all.
