I have 30 years of experience playing chess, I am a candidate master of Latvia, having an international (FIDE) rating of 2088, and an English Chess Federation rating of 2145, which is quite a good level. I am especially good at blitz and rapid. My greatest achievement is 1st place in English Open Women & Girls Rapid Championship in 2019. I have around 10 years of experience teaching chess to juniors and adults. I have been tutoring many students across the UK and have helped them to progress in chess and some of them gained great achievements in the tournaments and were qualified for the next competitions. I can teach basic concepts, moves, strategies, and tactics for beginners and help to improve the game technique of intermediate or advanced players, suggesting theory, ideas, and winning game plans.

I offer both online and face-to-face training. For online training we can use Discord, Skype or Zoom. The training is adapted to the needs of the student. During the lessons, we work together to identify the student's weaknesses and work specifically on them. I was first introduced to chess at the age of 5. At 17 I joined the Düsseldorf Chess Club and at 18 I headed a primary school chess club. I have a Chess.com online Rapid Rating of around 1650, which puts me in the top 2% of rapid chess players on Chess.com. I use a large part of my free time to improve my chess skills by working through books, solving problems, playing games, analyzing them extensively and exchanging ideas with other players. My best results are winning the Norwegian championship both in classical and blitz, participating in World and European championship for youth, and winning various tournaments with prize money.
