I have been a Yoga teacher since 2017, having completed 200 hours of practice at the English school Yoga London (Yoga Alliance certified).
I give Restorative, Yin and Hatha yoga classes and sound yoga sessions (sound therapy).
Restorative yoga is the most relaxing yoga. It is a gentle, introspective yoga that cultivates inner calm.
Unlike most other yogas, there is no muscle strengthening.
We simply remain in still postures in order to relax the mind, breathe and relax deeply.
Yin Yoga is a slow yoga. The practice of this focuses on connective tissues such as ligaments, bones, joints and even cartilage. It requires little or no muscular engagement. Yin yoga consists of long stretches, combinations of slow and deep breathing as well as postures that must be held for several minutes.
Hatha Yoga combines postures much more quickly than Yin and Restorative yoga and it works on strengthening as well as muscular elasticity.
It also helps to balance the two hemispheres of the brain as well as to harmonize the body and mind.

I give sound therapy sessions (sound baths) of 30 minutes or one hour at my home.
I use crystal bowls (8 quartz bowls on a 432 Hz range, with correspondences for each chakra), a gong and tuning forks.
Thanks to their specific frequencies, the sounds emanating from the instruments resonate with our body to rebalance its internal structures, its energy as well as harmonize body and mind. It is water, the main constituent, which acts as a conductor. The vibrations can thus diffuse through the cells.
Certain waves emanating from the crystal bowls are also perceptible by the brain in a state of relaxation (alpha waves).

My yoga class is breath-based hatha yoga. In the class, we use a specific breath technique to heat the body up. It is authentic, yet fun, hatha yoga. We start the basic hatha yoga practice at the beginning and then we will add some breath techniques once your body gets used to it.

Finally, I have a nutrition diploma by the Univeristy of Groningen, where I am also currently being trained to become an MD. My nutrition diploma is an advantage to you as a coach- I can guide you in injury recovery, detox and assist you with certain medical conditions such as IBS or other gut diseases in the autoimmune spectrum.

Instead of suppressing these emotions and creating energetical and mental blockages (that can end up into somatic pains or burn-out): we should pay more attention to these inner warning messages and strengthen our emotional intelligence to be able to cope with the infinitesimal external stimulus and daily-stress of our very fast lives.

Transcendental Embodiment (TE) is the result of three years of research and development. Merging from a movement philosophy research entitled Behind & Beyond, to its phenomenological understanding. The metaphysical unity of the tangible and intangible bodies expounds on the undeniable relationships between those in the physical realm. The tangible body (the material vehicle), the intangibles bodies (psychological, emotional, energetical, and spiritual). As a dance healing practice, guiding the practitioner to conscious corporeality, and subjective emotional understanding, this methodology can also be a useful tool to improve artistry and technical skills on a deeper level, widening mindful creativity, awareness, empathy, and sensitivity.

Increasingly used in the workplace to enhance productivity and creativity, mindfulness can lead to a greater sense of well-being and fulfilment.
Here, you can learn mindfulness in a one-to-one setting to received tailored classes and support.
Josh came to mindfulness at a challenging time and found that it gave him a new sense of calm and positivity. As his interest grew he attended meditation courses, joined a Buddhist study group and helped facilitate mindfulness classes and retreats. In 2018, he completed the Zenways 100hr Mindfulness and Meditation For Health & Wellbeing Teacher Training taught by Zen Master Daizan Skinner. He has since delivered mindfulness classes at London South Bank University, Paramount Pictures, WeWork, Arup, and in the local community.
Josh is based in Cornwall and also work as a musician and guitar tutor.
