Hi, My name is Cathrine. I have completed my IB diploma at Birkerød Gymnasium. I am currently pursuing my degree in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. I am originally from Malaysia but I have been living in Denmark for the past 5 years. However, English is my first language. I am fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the language. Therefore, during the lesson, I will incorporate tasks and activities involving these 3 aspects. We will also go through basic grammar rules that will be useful for both writing and daily conversations. I will provide printed worksheets and assignments (included in the fees of the lesson) to be done during the lesson and also as homework. Workbooks may be provided at an additional cost which you can work with on your own at home after the lesson. This is of course highly recommended for your own benefit as practice makes perfect. In the first meeting, we will discuss further on the preference of workload and what you would like to learn. I am quite flexible regarding class times, I have listed few below but other times might also be possible. Group lessons are also available, group sizes can be discussed as well :) I am looking to help highschool and university students in mathematics and statistics. I try to connect abstract mathematical ideas and formulae to the real world and it's applications hoping that this would result in better understanding of these ideas by the students. For example, to show how pythagoras theorem gives correct distance, I use measurements using a scale,etc. in real world to show this. For university students, I can help with with following domains of math:- Single and Multivariable Calculus Differential Equations ( 1st and 2nd order) Probability and Statistics (Introductory) Bayesian Statistics Linear Algebra Online lessons are possible but it would I believe in person would be better for connecting math to the real world.

The aim of this course is to increase fluency, confidence, use of language and pronunciation in order to improve your language skills. I offer explanations of Grammatical topics, expansion of vocabulary and tips for pronunciation in order to improve the ability to be understood! The best way to know a language is through exposition, therefore only English will be spoken in class.
