Italian is my mother tongue, I love its sound, its grammar structure, the culture it expresses. I hope to pass on to my students my passion and enthusiasm, thanks to the experience I made at university, where I studied ancient Greek and Latin, then working as a teacher in high school, and gaining the DITALS, which is a diploma to teach Italian to foreigners. I have experience with students of different levels and age, and I gear each lesson towards my students' goals and preferences.

My name is Hélène. I have lived abroad for over 25 years: in Great Britain where I taught French, then in Belgium where I worked on different projects with the European institutions, and finally in Italy for 20 years where I was called upon to teach Frech to Foreigners at the University of Turin and where, at the same time, I directed cultural projects related to Francophone litterature in an institution called il Circolo dei Lettori. My way of teaching French as a Foreign Language is different from formalised learning processes, it is pragmatic, progressive and tailor-made. Why? First of all, because, before I became a teacher, I have been confronted to learning other languages: English, then Spanish, Portuguese and finally Italian. I have thus understood what is useful, mainly what is not, to enter another language, what gives the satisfaction of rapid progress in speaking, understanding, and writing... without approaches that are too often useless, time-consuming and costly for an unsatisfactory results. The FLE tuition, that is to say French as a Foreign Language, is intended for those who wish to learn French in order to be able to live in French-speaking environnement. However, it can also be of grat help for children/teens who do not have the grammatical fundamentals in order to be better at school. A language, any language, cannot be acquired just "at random", it has a structure, the grammar through which we must progress to learn. DON'T PANIC, GRAMMAR CAN BE APPROACHED WITH FUN & PLEASURE! My approach is TAILOR-MADE TO EACH, SO THAT FRENCH CAN BE USEFUL TO YOU IN REAL LIFE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Italian. No prior knowledge of Italian is required as the course is for complete beginners. Objectives of the course: To acquire basic language skills and to achieve the equivalent of A1 level. A communicative approach is used. All four skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) are practiced, with the main emphasis on speaking. The student engage in interactive language activities according to a syllabus based on systematic grammatical progression. The student will also be offered guidance in self-study and set optional homework tasks.

My name is Francesco and after completing a Master's degree in Philosophy I decided to dedicate myself to teaching Italian, first in Italian public schools and then privately. I offer Italian lessons for adults using a specific, very lively and effective method that will allow you to understand, read books in Italian, watch films in the original version and above all to express yourself quickly, with a solid grammatical foundation, in everyday life, but also to have rich conversations with your interlocutors. I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
