Hello everyone, I am piano docent in Conservatory and performing pianist. I give private piano lessons to students of all ages and levels. Are you an enthusiastic beginner or do you want to pick up again after some time? Toddlers and preschoolers from 3 years old can take their first steps in the world of the piano. Young adults and adults are also very welcome! The piano lessons take place at my home in Berchem I live a short distance from Berchem station . During the lessons I will take into account specific wishes, such as preference for classical or popular music. I use a piano method suited to your age. No prior knowledge of music is required. I will open the world of music through the basics of piano playing. You don't know where to start? No worries, in this class you will learn everything about fingers, pianos and posture! My goal is to encourage you to pursue your passion now, or to bring out the best in you. I have been active as a pianist for more than 25 years. I graduated as a Master of Music. I always strive to create a positive, confidence-building experience in every lesson, whether the student does it for fun or wants to set higher goals for themselves. I would like to offer my full dedication to you or your child, whether playing the instrument for the first time or in preparation for auditions, competitions, a career as a professional cellist and everything in between! Each lesson is tailored to the individual wishes and needs of the student, for which I can use a range of learning materials - which also includes many duets that we can play together as student and teacher! You don't have to know exactly what you want yet; together we can discuss and try it out to see what will work best for you; I will guide you in the right direction! I am a professional viola player from Estonia, currently living in Antwerpen. I have studied in multiple conservatories in Europe and have been a member of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. I enjoy working with children and I have experience teaching toddlers violin from the age of 3. Of course at that age it's more about the discovery of the sound and rhythm in our bodies in general 😊 I have also taught adults and I must say that some of my best conversations and connections have been made through teaching music to grown ups who want to learn something for themselves. I teach bass guitar which is my main instrument of 12 years, to all ages. I have experience mainly teaching it to beginners and intermediates. The classes are structured to cover basics of bass playing in terms of both technique and theory. One may expect to have exercises as weekly assignments. These exercises are weekly put together by me using a variety of bass method books. The weight of music theory, harmony and ear training within what we cover can be rearranged according to the needs and expectations of the student.

I am a professional violinist in modern violin. At the moment I am doing a specialization in baroque violin and early music. Therefore in my lessons we can work repertoire from the XIV century until XX century, delving into the specific characteristics of each period. I can also help to prepare the violinist who wants to do the entrance exams for the baroque violin. In addition, I have also taken several courses in methods and didactics and I have also worked with students of all ages, so I have a lot of experiences in the process of starting the violin as a new instrument. I know classical music in its different styles from the 16th century to the 20th century, and I also have experience in the interpretation and teaching of Latin American music and improvisation. My classes will be focused on deep learning of the instrument and its interpretation, but we will also find the fun part and we will make this time as enjoyable as possible.

Lessons are flexible and can be arranged on an ad-hoc basis.
