I can teach anything - grammar, vocabularly, nouns, useful phrases, traditional vs. modern phrases. Or, I can teach specifically for e.g. a workplace environment, a school/university environment - whatever the student wants. If you tell me why you want to learn English, then I can tailor the lessons to specifically help you achieve this purpose. I am a native speaker. I can provide homework/assignments, and I also have a list of effective methods for you to use outside of the classroom to enhance your learning. I have lived in Ireland, England, Scotland, and the USA - so I am very aware of the various differences in how these countries speak English (and the most useful/common phrases to use in each context). I speak basic Italian; enough to teach English.

My name is Chiara, I'm a native Italian speaker and I work as a freelance translator and interpreter. I have a Master's Degree in Specialised Translation. I have been teaching Italian, French, Spanish and English for over 6 years, to both adults and children. In 2016/17, I worked as an Italian and Spanish teacher for adults at an Agency of the European Union while I was living in Strasbourg, France. In the year 2021, I extended my experience to children as well and started working as an English teacher for primary school children of all ages in Bologna at Educraft language school. I fluently speak all four languages and I use them in my everyday life since my clients come from all over Europe. Of all the work experiences I have had, teaching to children is definitely the one that satisfied me the most. I enjoy teaching to bilingual children and help them overcome the challenges of having a bilingual brain. I have more than 5 years of experience when it comes to teaching English as a second language. My introduction to teaching was a volunteering project in a French high school, then it became my profession when I started working in a Hungarian language school. In the school I held business English and everyday English courses for all levels, mostly teaching small groups of adults. Apart from that, I also held private Hungarian and French lessons. Now I am working in a language school in Italy, as well as teaching online because I travel a lot, and working remotely allows me to keep doing what I love, from anywhere in the world. When you become my student I will ask about your goals, assess your level, and recommend a course book based on your level and needs. In case you would only like to practice communication or wouldn't like to learn from a book, we can also simply talk and occassionally use some worksheets to make the lessons more varied and enjoyable. All my lessons are generally very communicative – I try to stay in the background and correct you when necessary, and guide you through the exercises instead of giving you the answers. From experience I know that real learning happens when you figure things out for yourself, and not when you are passively listening for your teacher's explanations.:)
