French student who just moved to Antwerp, I've been giving lessons for years in France and it was such a pleasure, that I want to experience it here again. Specialized in Romanticism/Modern, I also improvise. I can teach the good habits as a pianist to never hurt yourself and to quickly develop a good technique and musicality: Position, gesture, and practice tools. I also love to link the pieces with images, paintings, and movies, to create a whole connected world of senses and art.

The content of the lessons is adapted to the needs and wishes of each student. It is possible to follow a combination of music theory and instrument, or only focus on one aspect. Depending on the student's goal, the level, teaching method and music styles are adjusted and personalized in consultation. Together we will look at what your learning needs are and which method suits you best. I am familiar with different styles for both harp and piano, from classical music (baroque, impressionism, classicism, romanticism and contemporary music), to folk music, jazz standards, pop songs or minimalist music. There is also the option to work from improvisations. The lessons are suitable for all ages and levels, the personal profile of the student is central.

Ever since I was little, I was passionate about music. I have been playing the piano for 10 years and have given several concerts. If I think the level is good enough, I may be able to program you to play in one of my professional concert series in the Netherlands. I was born in the Netherlands and currently live in Antwerp. At the moment I play about 50 concerts a year throughout Europe. I myself still follow classes with my teacher in Vienna, Paris or Barcelona. I myself am still preparing for major competitions, concerts and festivals. During my bachelor studies I also followed a minor in education. My teaching technique is very focused on achieving results as effectively as possible. My goal is to let the student enjoy his or her own game. We will bring out the best in you. With concrete exercises you will understand better and better how to study well at home. They are lessons you will remember for the rest of your life.

I have been playing the piano for around 6 years. Since it is not my main instrument, I have had to find ways of learning it on my own already as an adult. Therefore, I have developed my own method to understand how the instrument works, which works especially well with beginners. I truly love the piano and I love seeing how passionate my students get when they learn how to make music with this instrument. These courses are for any age and any level. Total immersion in music. Classes are aimed at developing basic playing qualities, technique, and virtuosity. The main focus is on the improvement of creativity and imagination. Lessons include not only the practical part but also the basic theory of music. For each student, depending on age, level, and individual needs, I have an individual approach.

I have been learning the violin and piano since 5 years old, and am currently taking a bachelor's in Music Performance in Violin, at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Students of any age are welcome, and I have special experience with beginner and younger students, having given a lot of lessons in piano and music theory. I teach in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and basic Dutch. The individual piano lessons are personalized and tailored to the progress and learning ability of each student. Emphasis is placed on developing good posture and ease of movement at the early stage. We will then continue to revise and enhance technique while taking on a more challenging repertoire as they progress. Lessons are stress-free and I always try to provide a safe and calm environment for an engaging and fun class! Games for little kids are an absolute must! I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
