With the training and a year of experience in music therapy, I provide music lessons for children and adults using recent neurological research in the field. I've been teaching saxophone and flute for about 30 years. I studied in Paris and New York with some of the greatest saxophonists, including the great master Barry Harris. Over time, I've developed a pleasant and effective method. I also teach the Alexander Technique, a very effective tool for learning to play with minimal effort. I teach classes for all levels and styles, although I specialize in teaching jazz improvisation.

Personal description: I am a professional classical musician, with a master’s degree in flute playing and years of experience playing solo, chamber music and with orchestras internationally. I offer Flute and Music Theory lessons to children and adults of all ages, skill levels (grades 1 through 8 and beyond). Also I offer Piano lessons for beginners (grades 1 and 2). Tutoring experience: I have worked in the National School of Arts “Prof. L. Pipkoff” Sofia, Bulgaria. My class had children of different ages and mastery of the subject. I prepared them for national exams and concert appearances. I’ve also given privet lessons. Tutoring approach: Since every pupil is different, I believe that a good teacher always adjusts his methods to the needs and personality of his student. I strive to provide a structured and clear lesson, while focusing on music as something to be enjoyed. I work with the requirements of the grade system (from grade 1 to grade 8). Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Learn to play; to decipher the scores and improvise by ear or by reading and analyzing chord charts. This course will adapt to your level of play: simple harmonies for beginners and more complex depending on the degree of mastery of the instrument. This course also includes a thorough introduction to harmony.
