Religious Studies for Undergraduates, A'Level and GCSE.
I would want to cover the particular curriculum for the Religious Studies subject which I am tutoring.
As it happens, because of my advanced studies and teaching experience, I would feel able to cover most curricula in the fields of Religious and Ethical Studies. I cover Christianity (Protestant & Roman Catholic), Islam and Moral Ethics.
It would be important to identify the specific aims of each subject curricula and apply them towards teaching the student (s) both for the purposes of meeting any course dissertations and also preparing for examinations.
My priorities would embrace three areas.
1. Subject reading of textbooks, journals, relevant tv/radio programmes and other leading sources.
2.Intensive essay and focused writing, with close scrutiny of each assignment.
3. Constant attention to past exam papers and regular mock testing/monitoring under exam conditions.
In-person: Bring relevant text books and any coursework available.

About Me
I would feel myself to be a well-educated and dynamic person with a strong commitment to all my subjects and the academic well-being of my students. Actually, student success is my primary motivator, and I am proud of my high-level examination success rates of past students. Most peers and contemporaries, past and present, would say that I am a historian from my head to my toes, and indeed live, breathe and smell History 365 days per year! Being a professional writer of Historic and Political books, as well as biographer of political and ecclesiastical figures, gives that extra edge to my subject interests. - Not all work with no play! In my own time, I am a deeply committed Catholic, albeit ecumenical and broadminded. I love football, and am a lifelong Hibernian (Edinburgh) supporter. Also, I have the good fortune to be married to my beloved Mary-Jane, a Filipina lady, and herself the greatest of God's blessings in my life.Education
B.A. (Hons) History & Politics at Coventry University. 1981M.Phil. Contemporary Political History at Birmingham City University. 1988

A Student’s Guide to History (GCSE, A LEVEL, HAT).History is a challenging subject at both GCSE and A Level, both in terms of understanding and remembering the copious amounts of content as well as learning how to jump through the hoops of exam technique. This class is designed, by a former student who is now studying history at university, to assist in both obtaining the highest possible grade in history, but also to spread my passion for history and hopefully create a long lasting interest in my pupils.
I am also able to help with other items which I studied at A Level, namely Religious Studies and Economics. In addition to this, I can provide assistance with the Oxford HAT test as I scored highly in it despite not being accepted.

Philosophy of Religion: Thinking Deeply about FaithTogether, we'll explore core questions in philosophy of religion: Does God exist? What's the difference between religion and spirituality? Is it possible to prove that there is a supernatural realm? What does a materialist worldview imply about the existence of the mind - or the soul? Can life be meaningful without faith?
Whether you just started thinking more about these issues - or have been pondering these questions for a while - this class will help you gain clarity about your beliefs (and experiences) and help you move forward in your journey.

Basic knowledge of Islam for both the born Muslim, the convert and the interested in Islam.Basic knowledge about Islam:
Doctrine ('Aqeedah):
- The Muslim believes in Allah. Who is that?
- The Muslim believes in the Angels. Who are they? and who created them?
- The Muslim believes in all the heavenly books. Which are they?
- The Muslim believes in all prophets. Also in Jesus and Moses. How is that possible?
- The Muslim believes in the Last Day. What does that mean? What comes after this day?
- The Muslim believes in fate. Is everything already described? Did everything have to happen to us the way it happened?
Jurisprudence (Fiqh):
- (in the making)
