Konnichiwa! I am a native Japanese born in Yokohama, a city neighboring Tokyo, and I currently live in Geneve, Switzerland. I am fluent in both English and Japanese, and I plan to use both languages in my Japanese lessons. In my lessons, I focus on tailoring the content to each student’s goals and proficiency level. I use structured materials like “Minna no Nihongo” or "Genki" to build a solid foundation, while also including real-life conversation practice to help students learn Japanese they can actually use. It is challenging to explain grammar to young learners (ages 5 or 6 and above), so I use pictures and realia to conduct lessons. I learned this method through Association of Japanese Language for Children (AJLC) and hold a qualification as a Japanese language instructor for children.
