About Me

I began my studies to be a professional musician when I was 8 years old. I faced numerous situations in which I needed to handle a lot of stress, work at a very fast pace for a result that had no place for error. The circumstances and the situation can change fast and I needed to always adapt and find ways for things to go as well as I could and as it should. I have experienced these situations for 19 years, last 7 years being in Geneva where I achieved a Bachelor and a Masters degree. Team work was a big part of my career as communication and problem solving are two skills I needed to have for my role in Orchestras. I have played in front of hundreds of people numerous times, alone or in a group, which gave me strength and a developed self-control and focus that I could not have developed by having a normal student life. In the meantime, I had the chance to engage in other diverse activities that permitted me to observe and experience situations also from other perspectives. I always had a passion for the human mind and last year I have enrolled in Psychology studies at Geneva University.
I am very happy to have the opportunity to teach and also learn from my students, all while we develop and discover the universe of music as a whole.

Piano, composition and solfeggio lessons for children and adults
At the moment I am studying at the magistracy of the composition department in Haute école de musique de Genève. In addition, I already have two full educations - choral (secondary) and composer (higher). I graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory as a composer, took part in concerts and competitions in Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland as a choir singer or pianist. I also participated in international educational programs and seminars for composers: -International Academy of Composers in Tchaikovsky (Perm, Russia; September 2019) - Composer courses of the reMusik festival in St. Petersburg (Mai 2019) -International seminar for composers from MolOt-ensemble in St. Petersburg (November 2018) I have a great pedagogical experience of individual and group lessons (tutoring and working as a teacher at the summer city music camp in the St. Petersburg Academic chapel) I write music for piano, instrumental ensembles, choir, orchestra and electronics. I work with students of any level: -With children (development of basic musical skills) -With adults (we’ll build the lessons plan you need) -With students preparing to enter a higher educational institution (preparation for exams, closing certain gaps in knowledge)

Célia
Violin lessons for all Fr / Ang (solfeggio included).
As a violinist: I am currently a student at the Geneva University of Music, after having followed the pre-professional course at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. During my career, I won several prizes such as the Vatelot Rampal competition in Paris and the Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland soloist, and string quartet (alongside Julie Berthollet in particular). I also attended the Indianapolis University Academy summer internship. As a Pedagogue: in addition to sporadically giving individual lessons for 4 years, I was part of the "Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland" youth and youth internship team for three consecutive years. Overall, my goal is to allow my students to have fun making music, to express themselves as they wish and hear, with their instrument! I adapt the rhythm of my teaching, my teaching materials, the choice of songs to each, according to the requests that are made to me. My classes can also take the status of personal work support; in this case, students can obviously bring me their scores worked with their main teacher, or those they play in chamber music / orchestra. In short: The violin is an art, it learns yes, but we play! :)

Currently I went on to continue my studies in Switzerland and now am offering online classes to everyone who is interested in learning to play Violin

Martha
Violin, viola, music theory lessons in Geneva and its surroundings / Français - English
Hello ! Violinist and currently a student at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, I offer lessons in violin, viola, musical awakening or music theory for all levels and all ages, but also preparation courses for the baccalaureate option music . I also offer support lessons for students who are already studying in a conservatory. Very interested in pedagogy for a long time, I have already taught private lessons in Paris and Versailles, but also at the conservatory of Dreux in France, where I had the pleasure of being a violin teacher and accompanying my students. in their musical journey. Passionate about music since I was little, I am interested in different styles; so-called “classical” music, due to my training, but also jazz, Klezmer music and Eastern music, due to my origins. From a pedagogical point of view, I know how to adapt to everyone, and the method I propose to learn is centered around the pleasure of playing, while ensuring that I provide my students with a stable knowledge base, theory, practice and musical culture. Hope to meet you, Martha

Florent
Pianist graduated from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève gives piano lessons, music theory for all ages and levels
My piano lessons are aimed at beginners as well as more experienced students. We will start by defining together what your objectives are in order to find a learning pace that suits you. I offer a global approach to the piano combining technique, interpretation of pieces of varied styles and improvisation/music theory. A course is generally structured as follows: 1. 5 to 10 minutes of technical work. The development of effective gestures is essential in order to fully express one's musical potential. I offer progressive exercises allowing you to acquire the basics of piano technique (finger independence, velocity, hand coordination, arm mobility, posture, etc.). For young students, this work takes the form of keyboard games. Just like a sport, playing an instrument is a challenge for the body: I ensure that the student adopts a good posture on the instrument, in order to play with control and to avoid tension and injuries linked to an inattentive practice. 2. Interpretation. I propose strategies for structuring the learning of a piece, in order to optimize the time spent working on the piano and to make the student autonomous in their practice. My training at the conservatory allows me to introduce you to the styles of different eras of classical music, from baroque to the present day. I am also open to other musical universes, and the choice of pieces is primarily based on your tastes and desires. For the youngest students, I offer a suitable repertoire (arrangements of classical pieces, film music, video games, anime, songs), as well as simplified scores for a gradual introduction to reading. In order to cultivate motivation, it is important that students play music that speaks to them and that they are not discouraged by music theory. 3. Improvisation and music theory. For students who are beginners or have never done music theory, I teach the necessary theoretical bases (orientating themselves on the keyboard, reading a score, rhythm, listening), often in the form of improvisation games. In addition to developing a personal connection with the instrument, improvisation also allows you to assimilate notions of harmony/counterpoint (scales, intervals, chords) through practice, and to understand little by little how music is constructed. To make the link with the repertoire being worked on in class, I often suggest taking an element of a piece as a starting point for improvising. Of course, nothing obliges us to follow a particular plan, and if you come with a particular desire or a specific objective, I will try to meet your expectations as best as possible. I look forward to reading you, and sharing some beautiful moments of music together.

Louana
Private Piano and Solfege lessons for Beginners / Intermediates - Children / Teenagers
Hello, My name is Louana, I am 30 years old and am currently a piano teacher for students ranging from 3 to 65 years old. Indeed, I started very young music with first 2 years of rhythm then 5 years of Solfege Jacques-Dalcroze and finally 12 years of piano including 10 at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva. (each year of study being validated by exams & diplomas) Today I continue to play for fun and give some of my time to teach a few students once a week. Class sessions are generally 45 minutes to 1 hour as proposed by the Conservatory. I teach with my old scores which allows a gradual evolution step by step. Obviously, I remain attentive to everyone's wishes, but I particularly teach classical music because in my opinion, these are the best bases allowing you to play what you want. I am obviously at your disposal for any further information or to arrange an interview at your convenience. Best regards, Louana
