I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Hallo, mein Name ist Pia und ich bin Flötistin :) Ich habe mit 8 Jahren angefangen, Flöte zu lernen, es hat mir sofort gefallen und so habe ich nach der Musikschule mein Studium am Konservatorium in Maribor (Slowenien) fortgesetzt, danach habe ich an der Kunst Universität Graz studiert und 2024 habe ich meinen Bachelor an der Gustav Mahler Privatuniversität in Klagenfurt abgeschlossen. Dort habe ich einen Abschluss in Konzertfach und einen Abschluss in Instrumentalpädagogik gemacht. Während meines Studiums absolvierte ich auch einen Spezialisierungskurs in Alter Musik mit dem Hauptfach Traversflöte. Daher biete ich auch Unterricht für Anfänger auf diesem schönen Barockinstrument an. Während meines Studiums hatte ich einige Privatschüler, mit denen ich die Klänge der Flöte und verschiedene Genres (Klassik, Pop, Jazz, Volksmusik, Improvisation usw.) erkundet habe. Mein Unterricht ist entspannt und kommunikativ, voll von gemeinsamem Musizieren. Der Unterricht kann auch online stattfinden. Anfänger sind ebenso willkommen wie diejenigen, die ihre Kenntnisse vertiefen oder nach einiger Zeit wieder mit dem Flötenspiel beginnen möchten! :)

Hi, my name is Galit and I am a professional recorder player. I have been performing in various ensembles and venues around Europe and Israel, playing baroque, medieval, renaissance and contemporary music which is the vast repertoire of the recorder. I graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I have been teaching in various platforms for over 20 years and I adapt the lessons to your needs, wishes and level. During our lessons I will teach you the skill set of mastering the recorder. Obtaining good technique, working on good posture and healthy breathing along side learning about the instrument and it's history. Learning to play the recorder is an opportunity to expend your horizons, be creative and learn the art of listening. I was principal flute at the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw (Poland) and have over 45 years of experience teaching repertoire, solo, chamber music and orchestra. Over the years I have developed my method of Conscious Flute Playing, which has allowed me and my students to make the flute sing as we wish. Thanks to this we can learn music theory passively as we go through the pieces. There is also the opportunity to participate in student concerts in Brussels twice a year (December and June). I'm a flutist who just ended the Master in Antwerp Conservatory obtaining high distinction result and I have experience on teaching flute from debutants (children or adults) until preparing audition for students who want to enter a conservatory. I also have experience on teaching solfège and for people interested on starting music (both flute and music theory). I can combine everything in one lesson. Nowadays, I'm studying the master pedagogic in Liege Conservatory I enjoy playing the flute together with the students and for debutants, as I also play the guitar, I can accompany them.
