Cello lessons in The Hague for all ages and levels
Every student needs a teacher who gives personal attention and is flexible, which is why I always adapt to the student's individual needs and different speeds of learning. Everyone is capable of making music, we only need to develop our skills, and with the right tools the world of music opens up.
I am deeply convinced that music is something that we all need and find the most comforting in the trickiest situations. Music helps to express emotions and the cello is an instrument that is immensely similar to the human voice.
I hope that every student of mine will find their voice and reveal their feelings while playing cello.
Let’s meet in our first lesson and enjoy the world of music!

About Me
My name is Liutauras and I am a cellist. For many years now my life revolves around playing cello, teaching others to make music and find the best qualities of this instrument. My relationship with cello is long and fulfilling and I hope to show to my students how meaningful it can be. After having graduated from The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague I take it my duty to share the acquired knowledge and curiosity about the cello and music.
Since my study began, I was interested and engaged in teaching and educational activities – teaching private students, watching other acknowledged teachers and their open lessons and participating in masterclasses, where professors in a very short amount of time try to positively impact the young performers.
This experience enables me to teach students from the very young age to the most advanced level.
My previous study (bachelor in mathematics in Vilnius University) gives me an opportunity to analyze every student’s playing and to offer the most effective and easiest solution to achieve the better result.
As a musician and a teacher, I am always searching for new ways to interact with students and stimulate their creativity and musicality.

Cello Lessons, Practice Coach, Audition PreparationI have been teaching cello for over ten years. My students' levels have ranged from picking up the cello for the first time to preparing for auditioning to music conservatories at the college and pre-college level. I've worked with students as young as 5 years old as well as adults. I am a graduate of The Juilliard School, and have experience teaching at Juilliard Pre-College. I moved to The Netherlands in September of 2019 and have since then earned an Artist Certificate at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in baroque cello. Teaching has been a huge part of my life as a performing musician, as it encourages a constant curiosity of showing others how to make music and enjoy music themselves through the cello.

We will work on the fundamental things (how to hold, how to read), training of muscles and the brain with exercises, the mindset, and the sound, so that you (or your child) can grow more confidence, enrich the everyday life, and most importantly, have fun making music:)
I will happily help you find your instrument. At the moment I have one full size cello and bow that I can either lend (with monthly cost) or sell.

Music/Instrumental Lessons - Cello/Piano/Music Theory/CompositionBy taking online music classes in cello, piano, music theory, and composition, students can develop a well-rounded musical foundation. Cello and piano lessons enhance instrumental technique, musical expression, and performance skills. Music theory classes provide an understanding of harmony, rhythm, and melody, essential for analyzing and interpreting music. Composition classes allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge by creating original pieces, learning how to structure works, orchestrate for different instruments, and develop a personal style. These classes also cultivate discipline, creativity, and confidence in musical practice.

Classical and modern cello classes in Barcelona(Important! The schedules are now closing with the students I already have, so it is difficult to specify a definitive schedule for September)
Hello! I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me!
- To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire...
- Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;).
- Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing.
- Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but for me we can go from baroque to blues, from blues to Haydn's sonatas, from Haydn to bebop and from bebop to Michael Jackson. Why not?
If you like what you have read, do not hesitate to contact me. Learning to play the cello is a pleasure and I would love to share it with you!
