I am Álvaro, a professional spanish guitar player. Face to face lessons or high tech online lessons are possible. Completely personalized, with me you would be able to learn classic guitar from another perspective, songs arrangements, improvisation and the basis of the flamenco music.

With a strong background in live performances, recording studio sessions, music production/mixing, private lessons. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in live performances and studio sessions working with various artists and bands. For over a decade, I have served as a music theory and guitar teacher and tutor in esteemed music schools and in private, helping students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching success is evident in the remarkable achievements of my students, as I have guided them towards scholarships and degrees with exceptional outcomes. As a solo artist, my primary focus is on guitar techniques, improvisation, composition in Rock, Metal, indie ambient soundscapes, funky, and Jazz styles, as well as acoustic folk, bluegrass, fingerstyle and manouche. I am well known for being friendly, passionate, and supportive in my teaching approach. I offer lessons in both English and Greek. My guitar lessons are designed to be both enjoyable and highly educational. I prioritize the student's interests and goals, tailoring the lessons accordingly. Alongside teaching music theory and production, I have encountered diverse students and various situations, enabling me to develop expertise in psychology and instructional techniques. I am currently offering my skills as a guitar instructor to guide and inspire students of all levels.

We will focus on the music that You want to be able to make. I specialise in Composition and have a life long experience with the guitar, piano and songwriting (including production and mixing). Our goal will be to plan a project (recording, youtube video, spotify, live performance, etc.) and set a timeline to make it happen. The tutoring will focus on technical, as well as artistic issues and above all, it will be result oriented.

Having fun is the first important step in order to learn more about this beautiful instrument. With the Suzuki method you can easily learn all styles of music and study a big repertoire of technics. We can discover different aspects of the guitar by creating personal and individual exercises in class. It's a different way to learn and a really visual method used to make learning fun for all ages. It does not matter if you are an absolute beginner with no music background. All classes can be recorded with audio devices and the music can be transcribed in tablature.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, I offer private guitar lessons in many styles for all ages and all levels. I am also an active performer, mostly performing my own singer-songwriter music in the folk-rock genre. Classes are offered in English, Dutch and German. I am from Los Angeles originally where I received my degree in music with a minor in Classical Guitar from California State University, Northridge. I have been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. Back in those days, I was mostly inspired by rock music, learning to play by ear by listening to the radio. Later, I went to Conservatory and studied classical music, therefore learning in a more structured way. This gives me a unique approach to teaching, because I understand playing by ear and feeling, as well as having a background in music theory. It is a mix of these two worlds that I offer in my lessons. In this way, my students progress quickly while having a basis of how music works so that they can continue to grow for endless years to come. My approach to teaching is to get lasting results for the students and to make sure they have a great time. The lessons are light and joyful, as music should be. I work hard to make sure my students experience the rewards of reaching new plateaus regularly as they progress. It is also important to me that my students play songs/pieces that they enjoy playing. We will discuss your musical tastes, or work to discover the musical tastes of your child.
