First of all, I think it is important that we have fun while learning. After all, that makes learning much more fun! In the lessons I am happy to help you with your grammatical questions about Dutch. We can also work on your speaking, writing and/or listening skills. Do you want help with your homework assignments? This is certainly possible! Welkom! (Welcome) Dutch is a hard language to master, but a fun language to learn. I have 3 years’ experience teaching Dutch as a first and second language to elementary school children abroad. During my language classes the focus is on your personal goals and specific needs. I will adjust my teaching style and materials, based on what you want to learn. This class is perfect for children and adults, for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, wherever you are. During our lessons you will learn a new language in a quick and practical way. The language lessons are fully adapted to your level and your goal. With my 25 years of experience as a teacher for children and adults, I can immediately sense which teaching style suits you best. For 17 years I have been teaching local students here in Cape Verde to prepare them for the mandatory European language exams so that they can apply for their visa for Europe/England/USA. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.
