History and Political Science are intertwined subjects with multidisciplinary approaches. To study one of these, one must understand the other. This class deals with the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire from 753BC until 476AD. it is divided into two main into two main blocks these being: - 1. The pre-imperial era from the Early Monarchy until the collapse of The Roman Republic (753BC-31BC) 2. The imperial era from the Augustan settlement until the end of the Western Empire (30BC until 476AD) Each block will attempt to relate the past to the prsent by showing how many of the challenges facing The Ancient Romans are still being faced today.
