Graduated with a Diploma of Professional and Advanced Studies and a Master's degree in piano performance at the University of Montreal, I also obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies with A+ mention from the Jacques Thibaud Conservatory of Bordeaux in France. I have been working as a piano teacher for eight years now. I teach piano and music theory to all types of profiles, children, adolescents or adults ranging from a beginner to a professional level. During my musical journey, I tried to nourish my knowledge in the service of instrumental practice and pedagogy. During my lessons, we will cover subjects that are essential for me such as good position at the piano, flexibility of playing, stress management, bodily relaxation and of course, interpretation. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years. The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing! During the first part of the lesson, we will focus on Technique and breathing, while during the second part of the lesson we will focus on the repertoire chosen together with the student, applying the aspect of the technique that we worked on previously in the lesson.
