Saxophone lessons for all levels, jazz and other styles
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I graduated from the CNSMDP (National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris) in Saxophone Jazz (Master).I teach saxophone for all types of levels and styles. I like to approach learning this instrument through oral transmission rather than through methods or scores. This is how I learned music and jazz in particular. (I also oriented my dissertation around solo recording and learning through imitation.) However, I read music very well and can work with scores if the student prefers to work that way, or if the style of music requires sheet music.

I started music at the age of 7. I have always played jazz and have a great passion for this music and for improvisation. I studied this music a lot since I had a DEM in Jazz at the CRR of Saint Etienne in 2015 after 6 years of study there, then I studied for 5 years in the Jazz department of the CNSMDP and obtained my master's degree. in June 2021.I play on the Parisian jazz scene, notably with the group Fustige.

I've been playing since 2020 in a band called Fustige. We released an EP in March 2022 and took part in the Jazz à la Défense springboard final in June 2022.I was lead alto saxophone (and soprano) in 2020 and 2021 of the second Youth Orchestra of the ONJ (Orchestre National De Jazz). Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all agesAfter dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning.
I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc.
For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!)
Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other!
One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it.
I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and a distinction in Fashion Communication which included my music playing at Central Saint Martins. I also have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before.
The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Singing: Interpretation, repertoire and vocal techniqueI give singing lessons and I teach:
- the vocal technique
- jazz improvisation
- the jazz, lyric, variety, pop etc repertoire ...
In my class, I rely on the vocal technique of the old Italian school. That is to say .... I do not push your voice to do anything else. I remove bad habits, I ban your involuntary effects that you do not control ...
The goal is to make you discover your natural tone, thanks to my vocal technique acquired with Thalia Carouza, director of the school of the natural voice and professional lyric singer.

Music Tutor For All Ages (Piano, Voice, Theory & Ear Training)My lessons help people passionate about music increase their understanding and refine their technique. I’m a classically trained pianist and vocalist, with experience teaching, recording and performing. Although classically trained I was raised performing variations of Jazz and Pop music. My approach uses fundamentals and technique consistent with classical training, and applies studies in other elements.
Together with students young and old we will build a unique curriculum and study guide which develops the comprehension of music theory, technique, performance experience, ear training and sightseeing. The repertoire will reflect at least two genres all in an attempt to maximise the versatility and experience of each student musician.
I’m a native English speaker with a good understanding of French. I also speak Spanish, Portugués and ASL fluently. I can communicate in Russian.
