MY LESSONS: Learning Estonian can be quite hard on your own or in a group. As a native speaker, I can help you become fluent in Estonian by mostly practicing conversation and pronunciation. I also help with other aspects of language learning, like writing, reading, and listening. Sometimes I help with Harno exam preparations as well. I tend to work with a maximum of two students at once, so couples, friends, and family members are welcome to have the lesson together. We will be using English as a base language in our lesson. I know my english is not the best but belive me or not I have been learning english for 5 years! People can learn my mother language up to 2 years! They say it can be hard but if you really want you can do it!!

I have completed a master's degree in teaching Estonian language and literature, German as an additional major. After that, I continued my studies at the Master's degree in translation, where I completed a 2-year program, at the moment I still have a thesis to do. I have been working as a teacher for 17 years now, the last 3 years at the Tallinn English College, where I teach Estonian language, German language, literature, research paper writing on both the national and international (IBO) curriculum. I have also worked as a translator, editor and private teacher (also online). I am correct, conscientious, flexible, reliable and diligent. I prefer to work at home.

Now days knowing different languages is more than just a useful skill. Speaking most spoken languages like russian and english will help you in a lot of ways, like traveling or even finding a job. I've been working with multi-age classrooms for more than a decade now to work with children with communication disorders and several more experiences with other children in public and private settings to teach in Estonian, English, and French. I use American curriculum and study materials in English and studies are integrated across disciplines that include geography, biology, history, language, mathematics, science, music, and other forms of artistic expression. I also have a great collection of British picture books that I use quite often and 3D wooden study materials. In my after-school sessions, children engage in their learning by thinking, discussing, investigating, and creating.

I am a native Estonian and Latvian speaker and level C2 user of English. I will teach you the basics of any of the three languages and can offer help in more advanced texts and grammar for university papers if needed. We will put together a tailored study plan most suitable for you.
