Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. My bachelor's degree at the Conservatory of Ghent (Belgium) taught me what music interpretation is. At the Peter Cornelis Conservatory I learned the important basics of cello and music teaching. In recent years I have gained a lot of experience teaching cello in individual and group lessons as well as in string class lessons. The way of teaching will suit the level of the student (for beginners I divide the lessons into two parts: half basic music theory and the other half cello), and I will always have my cello with me to illustrate.
