He played with internationally renowned musicians, in Africa as in Europe, where he settled in the early 1980s: Sekouba Bambino, Kandia Kouyate, Ami Koita, Tata Bambo Kouyate, Diaba Kouyate, Mah Damba, and Dee Dee Bridgewater and Baaba Maal. From 2012 to 2019 he was also one of the three major members of the Kora Jazz Band, which performs worldwide. Yakhouba also regularly intervenes at the Cité de la Musique in Paris where he performs musical entertainment. He has already worked several times with town halls of Ile de France for courses or interventions in schools and animation centers.
