LEARN ZAMBIAN LANGUAGES LIKE: BEMBA, NYANJA, MAMBWE AND TONGA WITH YOUR BEST TUTOR👌
Zambian languages remains so important to any VISITOR and any INDIGENOUS Zambian who wishes to improve in communication skills. To give you the picture, once you know BEMBA language, you can easily be understood by anyone in all 10 provinces of the country. On the other hand , NYANJA gives an advantage to be understood especially in LUSAKA-Zambia's capital city and also in other provinces.Other, languages like TONGA and MAMBWE are provincial based; TONGA is the WIDELY spoken language in SOUTHERN province and MAMBWE in MUCHINGA province. Why LEARN Zambian languages? It saves you from language barrier and many inconveniences that comes with expressing your thoughts or ideas . New words are always taught per class session , correct spellings and pronunciation of words are emphasized. Prior to notifying me that you won't be available for a class, a class video is recorded and sent to you.If you are available then an ONLINE class takes place. On the other hand, students loves the fact that we do have customized time tables. We make a time table for a student depending on their convenient day/s and time .This flexibility in time and time table makes it very much accommodating to learners who are either very busy in the morning or afternoon. It is always motivating, satisfying and inspiring to meet the demands of each student.

Bilingualism and Code-Switching: by popular demand
In these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students. Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English. My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual. For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Empires of Epidemics: Disease History and Its Influence on Modern Life
From the Black Death to COVID-19, epidemics have done more than spread illness — they’ve reshaped societies, restructured power, accelerated science, and transformed how we live. In this personalized, one-on-one course, we’ll examine the global history of disease and uncover how outbreaks have built and broken systems across time. Using primary sources, historical documents, visual media, propaganda, art, and medical texts, we’ll explore how different societies understood, feared, fought disease, and what those responses can teach us about the modern world. Each lesson focuses on a specific disease or pandemic, such as: - The Black Death and early public health - The Spanish Flu and wartime censorship - Cholera, sanitation, and the modern city - Tuberculosis and the romanticization of illness - HIV/AIDS, activism, and inequality - COVID-19 in historical perspective What you’ll gain: - A deeper understanding of disease as a force in world history - Tools to analyze historical sources and narratives - Connections between past and present public health responses - Insight into how memory, fear, and resilience shape our collective story This course is ideal for students of history, public health, or anyone curious about how disease has helped build — and challenge — the modern world.

SES second, first, final year with an experienced teacher graduated from HEC and La Sorbonne
With several years of experience as an economics teacher in Canada and as a SES teacher in France, I have developed the educational tools necessary to support high school students towards their success. A graduate of HEC-Montréal and with a master's degree in Economic and Social Sciences from the Sorbonne, I am fully familiar with the concepts of economics, sociology and political science in the program. Economics, sociology, political science often seem very abstract. I won't detail my CV but my atypical background allows me to provide concrete elements allowing students to understand how theories fit into reality. In addition, I have a great passion for writing (novels, stories, short stories). Since exams (unfortunately) boil down to an essay, it is essential for students to master how to articulate their knowledge both in form and content. My multi-skilled assets therefore allow me to offer what students need in order to achieve their goals.
