Flexibility is central to my approach, and I will adapt our lesson plans to your specific needs and objectives. I have a deep knowledge of Latin and Greek linguistics, and offer tuition to all levels from Beginner, through GCSE and A-Level, up to those studying Classics at university. In our first lesson, we'll get to know each other and discuss your objectives and style of learning - I want to understand how you like to learn, what you find easy, and what you find difficult. And from there, we'll develop a well-prepared, interesting and valuable lesson plan. If learning a language is the scariest thing in the world to you, don't worry! I will always be a friendly, patient and devoted tutor. I have experience tutoring students in 4 different languages over the past 5 years. I understand the importance of sympathy and patience in teaching, and will always be able to slow down or speed up the course of learning as required. Latin and Greek are not easy, but with an experienced and friendly teacher, it can be a brilliant experience! I'm happy to run lessons of any length, and at any frequency. At various times in my life I've personally tried to learn almost 20 different languages (though Latin and Greek remain my favourites!), so I know very well how it feels to be staring at a page full of weird-looking words, and not have a clue where to start. Helping people to cut through the chaos, and see the wild beauty of complex languages like Latin and Greek, is one of the most satisfying feelings I've had through my years of tutoring both children and adults. My mission as a tutor will always be more than just to build your ability in these languages, it will be to build your love of them as well.

Greek has significantly influenced many modern languages, particularly English. A vast number of English words have Greek roots, especially in fields such as medicine, science, philosophy, and the arts. Learning Greek can help you understand the etymology of many English words and terms, enhancing your vocabulary and comprehension. For example, words like "psychology," "democracy," and "philosophy" all have Greek origins. By learning Greek, you gain the ability to read and understand both classical and modern Greek literature. Classical works by authors like Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes are best appreciated in their original form, capturing nuances and meanings that translations might miss. Additionally, modern Greek literature offers rich storytelling and contemporary insights into Greek culture and society.

I mainly teach math lessons from middle school to high school. Before starting the lessons, I need to get in touch with the student to know their level, the areas where they want to improve and their objectives. Depending on the level, I adapt the work seen in class to the different points of improvement and suggest exercises consistent with what the student is stuck on. At the same time, I go over point by point the elements that were not for the student (in the Ds and the questions) I rework the exercises seen in class. Finally, and this is the most important, I advise the student on his working methods, with what state of mind to approach the exercises. I can also provide homework help in subjects other than mathematics: I got 17 in the HEC philosophy exams and I didn't get below 18 in subjects such as SES, Philosophy and history in the BAC. I recommend at least one math lesson per week in order to take stock of the week; it is regularity that allows progress. As a Tutor at EDHEC I already have experience of courses with high schools. I am a calm, composed and educational person. In terms of math, I got 18 in my math baccalaureate and then I went to a HEC preparatory class at Louis-Le-Grand in advanced math where I had more than 12 hours of math per week.

I am a native speaker of Greek. I graduated from a Greek high school and, later, the University of Athens where I attended courses in pedagogics, psychology, and linguistics. I assign homework and after I receive it, correct it thoroughly additionally providing a lot of remarks/examples if they are necessary. I teach GCSE or equivalent Religious Education, specialising in Christianity/Catholic Christianity, Judaism, Islam, HInduism, Sikhism and Buddhism. I have recently taught and examined AQA RS A and B. I teach the beliefs and practices of the religions and exam skills (how to answer exam questions, how to maximise time in exam settings). I can also teach the Irish curriculum in Religious Education.
